EIL signs MoU with ARAMCO ASIA INDIA to explore business potential

ENGINEERS INDIA LIMITED (EIL) has inked a MoU with ARAMCO ASIA INDIA PVT. LTD. (AAI) to explore the opportunity of close cooperation in respect of commercial feasibility and business potential of setting up a branch office as per range of services provided by EIL. Both Parties intend to establish and develop long-term business cooperation relationship.The MoU was signed by Mr. Atul Gupta, Director (Commercial), EIL and Mr. Jamal Al Enazy, Director of Aramco Asia Procurement & Supply Chain Management in the august presence of C&MD, EIL – Ms. Vartika Shukla, Vice President of Saudi Aramco Procurement Department, Mr. Khalid Al Hajri and Managing Director of AAI, Mr. Abdulrahman Y. Althukair.

The MoU was signed by Director (Commercial), EIL and Director (Technical), NPCIL, in the presence of CMD, EIL, Ms. Vartika Shukla and Senior Management from both organisations at

EIL Corporate Office, New Delhi. This partnership strengthens the Government of India’s vision to accelerate nuclear power adoption and enable clean, green and reliable energy, advancing the Nuclear Energy Mission for Viksit Bharat with the goal of achieving 100 GW nuclear power capacity by 2047.

NEW DELHI. Engineers India Limited (EIL) and IIT Kanpur, with a long-standing MoU to jointly develop futuristic and breakthrough technologies, have signed a new Memorandum of Association (MoA) to advance research on Catalytic Solar-Thermal Decomposition of Ammonia for Hydrogen Production. While hydrogen is widely regarded as the fuel of the future, its safe transportation remains a major global challenge.

The proposed project aims to overcome this by converting hydrogen into ammonia through conventional processes, enabling safe and efficient transport. At the point of use, solar energy will be harnessed to crack the ammonia back into hydrogen, meeting localized industrial demand.

This innovative approach is particularly suited for arid desert regions and concentrated solar-thermal applications, offering a sustainable pathway for large-scale hydrogen deployment.

The EIL–IIT Kanpur collaboration is poised to accelerate the transition from laboratory research to scalable, market-ready solutions, paving the way for a cleaner, hydrogen-powered future.
