Operating from 16th to 24th July during the ongoing Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra, the stall serves attending devotees. As part of this community welfare initiative, IREDA is distributing food and water to pilgrims while actively raising awareness about adopting renewable energy for sustainable development. Dr. Bijay Kumar Mohanty Assumes Additional Charge as CMD of IREDA

NEW DELHI. Dr. Bijay Kumar Mohanty, Director (Finance) of Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd. (IREDA), has assumed the additional charge of Chairman & Managing Director (CMD). The Ministry of New & Renewable Energy has entrusted him with the responsibility for a period of three months, or until a regular CMD is appointed or further orders are issued, whichever is earlier. He succeeds Pradip Kumar Das, who retired as CMD on June 30.

Dr. Mohanty has been serving as Director (Finance) since October 2023 and as Chief Financial Officer of IREDA shortly thereafter. With over 27 years of experience in the renewable energy and power sectors, he has held key positions at IREDA, REC Limited, REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), CESCO, and GRIDCO. A highly qualified finance professional, he holds multiple postgraduate degrees, a law degree, and a Ph.D. in Commerce, and is widely recognised for his expertise in project financing, renewable energy, and power sector development.

Bengaluru, 27^th January 2025 : Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA) organized a preventive health check-up camp for its employees, including outsourced staff, at the company’s registered office in New Delhi today. The initiative was inaugurated by Dr. Bijay Kumar Mohanty, Director (Finance), in the presence of senior officials.

The health camp provided a range of diagnostic tests and consultations with medical experts, enabling employees to monitor their health and take proactive measures. Employees actively participated in the camp, demonstrating their commitment to maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
