Tech (Electrical Engineering) graduate from Calicut University, she brings over 35 years of rich experience in the Indian power sector across CEA, POWERGRID, and GRID-INDIA. Prior to this, she was holding the post of Executive Director, National Load Despatch Centre, GRID-INDIA, and has made notable contributions to power market reforms and the secure operation of the National Grid.

With her vast domain expertise and proven leadership, Ms. Usha, in her present role, will be looking after the market operations, regulatory implementation, and system efficiency functions at GRID-INDIA, providing strategic direction to electricity market development while reinforcing GRID-INDIA’s commitment to inclusive and progressive governance.
