NEW DELHI. The Ministry of Tourism has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Air India in New Delhi to promote the country as a preferred global travel hub under the Incredible India campaign. Union Tourism and Culture Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat attended the signing ceremony alongside senior leadership from both organizations. Designed as a non-commercial and non-binding strategic partnership with no direct financial commitments, the agreement establishes a two-year collaborative framework aimed at significantly boosting international inbound tourism and enhancing overall travel visibility.

This initiative will combine the Ministry’s global outreach strategies with Air India’s wide-reaching domestic and international flight network. Key focus areas include co-branded marketing efforts, destination storytelling across digital platforms, and the development of specialized tourism content. Travelers will also see destination highlights integrated directly into customer touchpoints, such as Air India’s in-flight entertainment systems, boarding passes, and potential co-branded aircraft livery.

To ensure seamless execution, a Joint Working Group comprising representatives from both the ministry and the airline will oversee proposed initiatives, track progress, and explore new promotional avenues like stopover tourism. Both parties will also collaborate with state tourism boards and participate in international travel trade events to showcase India’s rich cultural heritage. The partnership reflects a unified effort to offer international visitors a streamlined experience while strengthening India’s position as an emerging global aviation and transit hub.
