Speaking to a vibrant cohort of around 50 dynamic junior and mid-level managers representing nearly 20 diverse Central Public Sector Enterprises, Shri Sobti emphasized that human capital remains the ultimate catalyst for organizational growth. He noted that equipping the workforce with a strategic mindset and future-ready competencies is a core imperative as public sector enterprises navigate an increasingly competitive and complex global economic landscape.

The intensive week-long flagship initiative is meticulously structured to bridge the gap between operational execution and strategic foresight. The dedicated capacity-building arm

focuses on grooming an efficient talent pool capable of balancing corporate competitiveness with socio-economic responsibility. Throughout the session, participants deep-dived into critical areas ranging from public sector governance and macro-economics to behavioral leadership dynamics, gaining essential insights to drive future organizational excellence.

In his inaugural address, Shri Sobti underscored the strategic importance of skilling, reskilling, and upskilling, advocating for an institutional culture of lifelong learning to ensure long-term workforce resilience. The valedictory ceremony of the **DAKSH Classroom Immersion Program**, held at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, marked a significant stride in advancing leadership within India’s Public Sector Enterprises (PSEs). The week-long program was designed to equip senior executives with cutting-edge leadership and management insights.

Seventy-five high-potential leaders from across PSEs completed the intensive six-day program, engaging in case-based learning, simulations, and peer collaboration. Participants received certificates in recognition of their professional commitment and contributions to nation-building.

The DAKSH program (Development of Aspiration, Knowledge, and Succession & Harmony) is a newly launched leadership initiative for high-potential senior executives, including General Managers, Chief General Managers, and Executive Directors, across CPSEs. Set to begin later this year, DAKSH aims to prepare over 1,500 executives for future Board-level roles by offering both domestic and international exposure. The program, finalized at a recent roundtable at the SCOPE complex in New Delhi, marks the first unified leadership development initiative across all CPSEs, setting a new standard in the sector.
