SECL Signs Strategic MoU With CWC to Strengthen Coal Logistics Infrastructure

BILASPUR. South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC) to strengthen coal logistics and rail transportation infrastructure across the country. The MoU was signed in New Delhi in the presence of Shri Harish Duhan, Chairman-cum-Managing Director of SECL, and Shri Santosh Sinha, Managing Director of CWC. The initiative marks a major step towards enhancing coal evacuation capacity and improving logistics efficiency under the guidance of the Ministry of Coal.

The collaboration aims to ensure uninterrupted coal supply to key sectors including power, steel, cement, and other core industries that are critical to the nation’s economy. Senior SECL officials present during the signing ceremony included Shri N. Franklin Jayakumar, Director (Technical/Operations), Shri Darla Sunil Kumar, Director (Finance), Shri R. C. Mahapatra, Director (Technical/P&P), Shri Ashok Kumar Patnaik, General Manager (Siding), and Shri Ajit Chaudhary, General Manager (M&S) and Head of Department. The partnership is expected to significantly improve operational efficiency and strengthen India’s energy supply chain.

Congress Party President Mallikarjun Kharge presided over the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting at the party headquarters in New Delhi on Wednesday, November 29, 2024.

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, General Secretary of the All India Congress Committee (AICC)who recently won the Lok Sabha by-election from Wayanad, Kerala. Known for her grassroots engagement, she used to frequently visit Rae Bareilly and Amethi constituencies to connect with local residents.

In the 2004 Parliamentary elections, Gandhi Vadra played a key role as her mother Sonia Gandhi’s campaign manager while also assisting in Rahul Gandhi’s successful campaign.

As the daughter of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi, and the sister of Rahul Gandhi, Leader of Opposition in the 18th Lok Sabha, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra belongs to the prominent Nehru-Gandhi political dynasty.
