South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) has earned national recognition after its innovative vigilance initiatives were featured in the Central Vigilance Commission’s (CVC) special issue of VigEye Vani focused on systemic improvement. The publication highlights SECL’s innovative practices in the article “Smart Vigilance, Safer Mines,” showcasing how Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital tools are enhancing vigilance, safety, and operational efficiency across its operations. Among the key initiatives, the Integrated Command & Control Centre (ICCC) stands out for its integration of CCTV surveillance, vehicle load monitoring, fire and smoke detection, and PPE compliance.
