AAI Extends CSR Support for Children with Special Needs in Manipur

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) has signed a MoA with the Centre for Community Initiative (CCI) for the construction of 18 new rooms at *The Malsawm Initiative School* in Churachandpur, Manipur.

The agreement, signed in the presence of Shri Dharun Kumar, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, underscores AAI’s commitment to fostering inclusion, care, and opportunities for children with special needs.

Through this CSR initiative, AAI aims to strengthen educational infrastructure and create a more enabling environment for differently-abled children, ensuring they have access to better facilities and opportunities for growth.

REC extends CSR support of Rs 20 Crore for the Welfare of Children of Ex-Servicemen and War Widows

REC Limited has contributed Rs 20 crore through its CSR arm, REC Foundation, to the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund (AFFDF). The grant will support the education of 16,667 children of ex-servicemen, martyrs, and war widows from the Army, Navy, and Air Force.

The contribution was formalised through a MOA between Shri Pradeep Fellows, Executive Director (CSR), REC Limited, and Brigadier D.S. Basera, Secretary, Kendriya Sainik Board, in New Delhi.

In the past two financial years, REC Foundation has extended ?30 crore in support to the AFFDF. This initiative reiterates REC’s long-standing commitment to nation-building and social equity through meaningful CSR initiatives.
