<p><b>Mumbai, 1 July 2026:</b> In a move to further strengthen the digital monetization engine and propel the growth momentum, leading Content and Technology powerhouse, <b>Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. </b>(<b>‘Z’</b>) has announced the appointment of <b>Sudeep Nagpurkar </b>as <b>Chief Sales Officer &#8211; Social Platforms, Creator Economy &amp; Partnerships</b>. In this role, Sudeep will be based out of Noida and will report into <b>Sandeep Mehrotra, Chief Operating Officer – Advertisement Revenue, ‘Z’</b>.</p>
<p>As the <i>Attention Economy </i>continues to reshape consumer behavior, brands are increasingly seeking integrated ecosystems that enable meaningful engagement across content, creators, communities and commerce. Recognizing this shift, ‘Z’ is focused on building a robust digital ecosystem that leverages its content strengths, technology capabilities and strategic partnerships to unlock new monetization opportunities across social platforms, creator networks and emerging digital touchpoints.</p>
<p>Sudeep will leverage his deep industry knowledge and experience to enhance the digital asset monetization capabilities with a strong focus on strategic partnerships. Sudeep will work closely with platforms, creators, brands and advertisers to develop innovative monetization solutions and unlock new revenue opportunities for the Company. He will also play a key role in driving strategic collaborations that further strengthen the Company’s presence across the rapidly expanding creator economy ecosystem.</p>

Over the course of his career, Sudeep has worked across regions in India &amp; enabled businesses to export from India to the world. Previously, he was associated with Google India, where he served as the Head of Industry, FMCG, enabling marketing transformation for large consumer conglomerates. He has also been associated with National Instruments (Emerson), building deep foundational expertise in consultative sales and business development.</p>

<p><b>Bengaluru – June 09, 2026: </b>Flipkart Group, India’s homegrown e-commerce marketplace, through Flipkart and Myntra, today announced that it has joined as a Meta affiliate partner to scale creator-led commerce in India by making product discovery and shopping more seamless for customers.</p>
<p>The partnership enables creators to discover and tag products from Flipkart and Myntra directly within their posts and Reels through affiliate integrations, making it easier for consumers to discover and shop for products seamlessly. The partnership launches on Facebook, with Instagram as the next phase of a planned rollout across Meta’s platforms.</p>
<p>Flipkart Group identified this shift in consumer behaviour two years ago and has been systematically building for it through investments in creator infrastructure, content-led commerce, and platforms like Creatorhood and Affluencer.</p>
<p>The partnership underscores the broader shift in how digital commerce is evolving in India: from search-led transactions to discovery-led, creator-influenced shopping. As social platforms become important discovery destinations, especially for GenZ customers, the Flipkart Group is bringing together content, creators, brands, sellers and trusted commerce infrastructure.</p>
<p>For shoppers, the experience is simple: they see a product in a creator’s post or Reel, tap the product tag, and complete the purchase on Flipkart or Myntra. For creators, it creates a structured way to turn recommendations into income by earning commission from sales generated from their posts. For brands and sellers, it opens up a new route to reach high-intent audiences through content that is more contextual, authentic and culturally relevant.</p>
<p><b>Empowering India’s Creator Economy</b><br />
The initiative puts creators and customers at its core, and reflects the growing influence of creators in shaping how young consumers discover, evaluate and shop online. As social platforms become primary discovery destinations, especially for GenZ consumers, creator recommendations carry real purchase influence. The Flipkart Meta affiliate partnership is designed to formalise and scale this dynamic, creating a structured, accessible path for creators of all sizes to participate in commerce, and for their audiences to shop from the content they already engage with.</p>
<p>India’s shopping behaviour is shifting rapidly. According to the ‘<i>How India Shops Online 2026</i>’ report by Flipkart and Bain &amp; Company, GenZ now accounts for 40%–45% of India’s e-retail shoppers and drives nearly half of incremental e-retail orders, with influencer-led discovery and social content playing an increasingly significant role in purchase decisions  across categories, from fashion and beauty to gadgets and lifestyle, and across both metros and non-metros.</p>

<b>For Consumers:</b> It enables a frictionless path from discovery to purchase. Shoppers see a product in a creator’s post, tap the tag, and buy directly on Flipkart or Myntra, in a shopping experience anchored in content they already trust.</p>
<p><b>For Creators: </b>A new, accessible income stream tied directly to the content they already create. Creators can discover and tag affiliate products in posts and Reels, earn a commission on every sale, and manage everything from one dashboard. The program is open to micro and nano creators, not just established influencers, broadening monetisation access across the creator community.</p>
<p><b>For Brands and Sellers: </b>As India’s e-commerce ecosystem continues to expand, this partnership will create substantial opportunities for MSMEs, entrepreneurs, and sellers by helping them improve product visibility, expand market access, and connect with new consumer segments through creator-led engagement. Brands and sellers can select which products to feature, set their own commission rates, and reach high-intent audiences through recommendations that are more authentic and contextual than traditional advertising.</p>

<p><strong>Mumbai:</strong> Indian Institute of Creative Technologies (IICT) and Hungama Digital Media Entertainment successfully hosted <b>“Lights, Camera, Code: The New Storytelling Stack”</b> at the IICT Campus, NFDC, Mumbai. An official satellite event of Mumbai Tech Week (MTW) 2026. The third edition of Mumbai’s flagship AI festival, organised by the Tech Entrepreneurs Association of Mumbai (TEAM) around the theme “AI in Action”, MTW 2026 takes place on 29-30 May at the Jio World Convention Centre, bringing together developers, founders, investors, policymakers and students showcasing real world AI applications across sectors.</p>

<p>In his keynote at IICT today, <b>Neeraj Roy, Founder &amp; CEO of Hungama,</b> outlined the evolution of storytelling toward 2030, envisioning a large-scale AI-assisted creator ecosystem and a new “AI storytelling civilisation”. He highlighted India’s structural advantage driven by its young demographic, cultural depth and rising AI adoption and defined four pillars of AI native storytelling: every creator becoming a studio through AI production tools; languages going global through real time translation; narratives evolving into participatory experiences; and cultural IP being reimagined through AI led storytelling. He also mapped the emerging 2030 stack spanning generative video, autonomous creative agents, narrative intelligence, immersive interfaces and distribution layers.</p>
<p>Speaking about the association with IICT, <b>Neeraj Roy</b> added, <i>“Mumbai Tech Week is where innovation meets imagination and there’s no better stage to talk about the future of storytelling. Our partnership with IICT for ‘Lights, Camera, Code’ is rooted in a simple belief that India’s next great creators will be those who can harness technology as fluently as they wield narrative. As AI and immersive media reshape entertainment, the most important thing industry and academia can do is build that talent together and the time is now.”</i></p>
