HLL pays Rs. 69.5 crores as dividend to Govt of India for FY 2024-25

HLL Lifecare Limited, a Mini-Ratna Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, has reinforced its strong financial performance by paying a record dividend of Rs. 69.53 crore to the Government of India for the financial year 2024–25. This is among the highest dividends ever paid by the company.

The dividend cheque was presented to Shri J.P. Nadda, Hon’ble Union Minister of Health & Family Welfare, by Dr. Anitha Thampi, Chairperson, HLL, in the presence of Smt. Anupriya Patel, Minister of State for Health & Family Welfare; Smt. Punya Salila Srivastava, Union Health Secretary; Shri Hovyeda Abbas, AS&FA; and Shri Vijay Nehra, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. Senior officials from HLL, including Shri N. Ajit, Director (Marketing), and Shri Ramesh P, Director (Finance), were also present.

The Capacity Building Commission launched DAKSH leadership program designed for senior executives of CPSEs

The Capacity Building Commission, in partnership with SCOPE launched DAKSH (Development of Aspiration, Knowledge, Succession and Harmony)-a first-of-its-kind leadership program designed exclusively for senior executives of India’s Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs). With McKinsey & Company and Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad as Knowledge Partners, DAKSH is a transformative initiative that aims to build a future-ready, value-driven leadership pipeline for the public sector.

The program was launched by Shri Arunish Chawla, Secretary, DIPAM, in the presence of Shri Adil Zainulbhai, Chairman, CBC; Smt. Soma Mondal, Member, Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB); Shri K.P. Mahadevaswamy, Chairman, SCOPE; Shri Atul Sobti, DG, SCOPE; and Dr. Alka Mittal, Member (Administration), CBC. HAL upgraded to ‘Maharatna’ status, becomes 14th PSU to join elite group

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has been elevated to the status of Maharatna Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE). The Department of Public Enterprises announced the upgradation on October 12 through a post on X (formerly Twitter), following the approval of Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.

The proposal for HAL’s upgradation was earlier recommended by two high-level committees: the Inter-Ministerial Committee (IMC), headed by the Finance Secretary, and the Apex Committee, chaired by the Cabinet Secretary.

India now has 14 “Maharatna” public sector undertakings (PSUs), including prominent names such as BHEL, BPCL, Coal India, GAIL, HPCL, Indian Oil, NTPC, ONGC, Power Grid, SAIL, Oil India, REC, PFC, and the recently upgraded Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL).

CPSEs Launch Unified Leadership Program “DAKSH” for PSU’s Senior Executives

Central Public Sector Enterprises to draft net zero plan for coal mining sector

Ministry of Coal has given the task to Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) to draft net zero plan for the coal mining sector. PM Modi proposed Panchamrita in global climate meet in Glasgow. PM said India will meet 50 per cent of its energy requirements till 2030 with renewable energy.

Union Coal and Mines Minister Pralhad Joshi said coal PSUs have made an investment plan of Rs 2.5 lakh crore for developing renewable energy (projects), installing clean coal technologies and new mine development projects.

According to an official statement, Coal PSUs have planned to scale up their total installed renewable energy capacity to 7,231 megawatt (MW) by 2027.

About 1,600 MW of renewable capacity has already been created till March 2023, by the PSUs Coal India Ltd (CIL), NLC India Ltd (NLCIL), and Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL). By 2027, Coal PSUs have planned to scale up thier renewable energy capacity to produce 7,231 megawatt (MW).

CIL and its subsidiaries are actively setting up large-scale solar power plants on its de-coaled land and overburden dumps. They are also equipping all houses in the coal subsidiary companies with rooftop solar facilities. De coaled land and overburden dumps are being used effectively in this way keeping the nature in the mind.

CIL and NLCIL are planning to establish large solar parks in Gujarat and Rajasthan. Ministry of Coal has advised coal companies to explore the sutiable are to set up solar parks across the nation.
