NEW DELHI. Ms. Premlata, Executive Director (HR), NTPC, and CHRO, NSPCL, participated in a high-level panel discussion at the Governance Dialogue on “District-led Development: Grassroots Stories, National Outcomes,” organized by the Center of Policy Research and Governance (CPRG). The multi-stakeholder dialogue focused on building strategic partnerships, fostering local innovation, and strengthening grassroots governance to drive national growth. During the interactive session, Ms. Premlata shared insights from field experiences, emphasizing how people-centric implementation, multi-sectoral collaboration, and local leadership play a vital role in translating macro policies into tangible outcomes on the ground.

Underlining the necessity of strong grassroots execution for sustainable development, the panel highlighted that policy success relies heavily on institutional alignment at the district level. The session witnessed enriching exchanges alongside eminent thought leaders, including Major General K. Narayanan, Programme Director (Security & Strategic Affairs), NITI Aayog; Prof. Badri Narayan, Vice Chancellor, Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS); senior IAS officers Parikipandla Narahari and Ashima Mittal; as well as prominent media professionals Madhuparna Das and Anubhuti Vishnoi. The collective deliberations reaffirmed that meaningful public governance requires closing the gap between policy design and ground-level execution to serve communities effectively.
