IndianOil has launched Phase IX of its ‘Parivartan – Prison to Pride’ and Phase VI of ‘Nayi Disha – Redefining the Future’ social stewardship programs, aiming to touch the lives of over 1650 individuals across 28 prisons and 14 correctional homes. These programs are part of IndianOil’s continued efforts to uplift the lives of prison inmates and children in correctional homes, providing them with second chances and giving purpose through sports.

Transforming Lives through Sports and Mainstreaming Marginalized Communities

Chairman A S Sahney emphasized that IndianOil is proud to provide a platform for prisoners to showcase their skills and give back to society. The Corporation has established fuel stations operated by current and former inmates under its Umeed – A Hope project, and has also opened the first Tihar Jail Store (TJ’s) at an IndianOil fuel station in New Delhi, marking a milestone in mainstreaming marginalized communities. The programs have received global recognition, including awards from FIDE, Sportstar Aces, and Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards.

Empowering Over 8950 Individuals across 29 States

With the launch of Phase IX of ‘Parivartan – Prison to Pride’, IndianOil has empowered over 8950 inmates and children in correctional homes at 192 locations across 29 states and Union Territories. The initiative offers coaching facilities, equipment, and kits for participants, and has also achieved significant success in chess competitions, winning awards and recognition globally. The Corporation’s commitment to these programs reflects its ethos of ‘Nation First’, demonstrating its dedication to going beyond business and supporting the most vulnerable segments of society.
