हालांकि बॉलीवुड ने भी कमर कस ली है. सिनेमाघर 100 प्रतिशत क्षमता के साथ शुरू होते ही अब ब़ड़ी रिलीज की तैयारी चल रही है. अप्रैल में ही अभिषेक बच्चन की दसवीं, शाहिद कपूर की जर्सी, टाइगर श्राफ की हिरोपंति 2 और अजय देवगन और अमिताभ बच्चन की रनवे 34 आयेगी. इसके बाद के महीनों में रणवीर सिंह की जयेशभाई जोरदार, कंगना रनौत की धाकड़, अक्षय कुमार की पृथ्वीराज सहित शमशेरा, ब्रम्हास्त्र, लाल सिंह चड्ढा जैसी फिल्में होंगी.

दक्षिण भारतीय फिल्मों और उनके सितारों की लोकप्रियता के कारण अब प्रभास और अल्लू अर्जुन, घनुष, अजित, मोहन बाबू, विजय देवराकोंडा, चिंया विक्रम, खिचा सुदीप, पवन कल्याण, नागा चैतन्य, रामचरण तेजा, जूनियर एनटीआर, सूर्या, समान्था, रश्मिका मन्दाना जैसों का नाम घर घर गूंज रहा है. बॉक्स ऑफिस पर अभी पुष्पा की धमक कम नहीं हुई थी कि पिछले हफ्ते आई एसएस राजामौली की आरआरआर ने भी बड़ी कमाई कर ली. फिल्म ने दूसरे हफ्ते में ही 800 करोड़ रूपये वर्ल्डवाईड का धंधा कर लिया है, जिसमें 150 करोड़ हिंदी बेल्ट से है.

अभी तो ये शुरूआत जैसा लगता है. आने वाले समय में केजीएफ-2, टाइगर, एसवीपी, सहित कई साउथ से आने वाली फिल्मों से बड़ी हलचल मचने वाली है.साउथ ने बॉलीवुड के बड़े सितारों को छोटे छोटे रोल देना जारी रखा है. एन्थिरन (रोबोट) में एश्वर्या राय, अमिताभ बच्चन (सई रा नरसिम्हा रेड्डी) आरआरआर में आलिया भट्ट और अजय देवगन. ये सिलसिला आगे भी जारी रहेगा. दरअसल साउथ वाले इस बात को जान चुके हैं कि हिंदी फिल्म के कलाकारों के जरिये वो उस बड़े मार्केट को आसानी से कब्जे में ले चुके हैं जिसके लिये उन्होंने बरसों मेहनत की है. पुष्पा के अल्लू अर्जुन कहते हैं कि बॉलीवुड वालों का हमारी इंडस्ट्री में खुले दिल से स्वागत है लेकिन दिक्कत तो ये है कि साउथ के सितारों का स्टारडम इतना ज्यादा है कि यहां के दर्शक बाहर वालों को हजम ही नहीं कर पाते . जूनियर एनटीआर कहते हैं – फिल्मों में अब नॉर्थ और साउथ का अंतर खत्म । केवल इंडियन सिनेमा बचा है। और वही चलेगा.

बीते वर्षों में साउथ के डब कन्टेंट का बोलबाला इतना था कि कभी कोरियन या हॉलीवुड फिल्मों की रीमेक बनाने वाला बॉलीवुड तमिल, तेलुगु और मलयालम पर ज्यादा भरोसा करने लगा. सलमान खान और अक्षय कुमार इसमें काफी आगे रहे. खिलाडी कुमार की लाइफ में साउथ की रीमेक से राउडी राठौर बन कर जो मोड़ आया वो किसी से छिपा नहीं है. निश्चित रूप से बॉलीवुड के लिये साउथ की रीमेक का सौदा फायदा का ही रहा लेकिन ये बात उन्हें बाद में समझ में आई.

Delhi’s reported 8,593 cases in 24 hours given clear indication that its becoming real corona capital while country reported less than 50 k cases . The total tally of the city now stands at 45,9975 and the positivity rate has jumped to 13.40 per cent. In the last 24 hours, 64,121 tested have been conducted and 85 deaths have been reported. Over 24,000 people in Delhi are now under home isolation, the health bulletin said.

On Tuesday, the city recorded 7,830 fresh infections which was the highest till yesterday.

The unprecedented spike in the number of daily cases comes at a time when experts have been pointing out overall laxity in maintaining social distance..

The Delhi High Court on Wednesday pulled up the AAP government for relaxing safety norms for public gatherings. A bench of Justices Hima Kohli and Subramanium Prasad also noted that the wearing of masks has not been made mandatory in Delhi. The court also asked the government why it has increased the number of people allowed in weddings, public transport etc.

Meanwhile For the successive fifth day, new cases reported in the last 24 hours did not cross the 50,000 mark. 47,905 persons have tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.

The trend of daily new recoveries outnumbering daily new cases continues for the 40th Day with 52,718 new recoveries registered in the last 24 hours.

This trend has continued to compress the active caseload of India which is presently 4.98 lakhs. With a contribution of only 5.63% of India’s total positive cases, India’s active caseload stands at 4,89,294, well below the 5 lakh mark.

The Recovery Rate has also been boosted with the trend of recoveries exceeding new cases. It presently stands at 92.89%. Total Recoveries today are 80,66,501. The gap between Recovered cases and Active cases has steadily widened to75,77,207.

78% of the new recovered cases are concentrated in 10 States/UTs.

Maharashtra reported the maximum number of single day recoveries with 9,164 newly recovered cases. 7,264 people recovered in Delhi followed closely by Kerala which reported 7,252 new recoveries.

10 States and UTs reported 78% of the new cases.

Delhi observed another spike and reported the highest daily new cases, also its highest tally so far with 8,593 new cases. Delhi is followed by Kerala with 7,007 cases and Maharashtra with 4,907 cases.

550 case fatalities have been reported in the past 24 hours. Case Fatality Rate stands at 1.48% today.

Of these new deaths, ten States/UTs account for 80%. Maharashtra accounted for 22. 7% share with 125 fatalities. Delhi and West Bengal follow with  85 and 49 new deaths, respectively.

The Kamal Nath-led Congress government in Madhya Pradesh scored a 10-day reprieve today as the assembly session was adjourned without a trust vote until March 26 over coronavirus, after a one-minute address by Governor Lalji Tandon. The opposition BJP has gone to the Supreme Court.

The Governor this morning walked out of the assembly amid slogans of “respect the house” after he read out only the last page of his traditional address on the opening day of the budget session and urged the Congress to “follow the Constitution”.

“All must follow the rules under the Constitution so that dignity of Madhya Pradesh remains protected,” said the Governor, who had written to the Speaker to hold a test of strength today for the 15-month-old Kamal Nath government.

after the Governor’s walkout, the MLAs of the government and the opposition BJP remained inside, shouting slogans at each other. As they walked out, the BJP MLAs sang: “Hum Honge Kaamyab…”

The Congress, desperate for survival, has asked for the assembly to be suspended over coronavirus. Many of its MLAs entered the house wearing masks.

Kamal Nath has written to the Governor calling his letter directing a trust vote unconstitutional and asserting that it “does not lie within the domain of the Governor to interfere with the functions of the Speaker”.

The resignation of 22 Congress MLAs has brought the state government on the brink of collapse. The MLAs, who flew to Bengaluru in BJP-ruled Karnataka, are expected to follow Jyotiraditya Scindia into the BJP; the long-time Congress leader made the stunning switch last week, complaining that the party was “not what it was before”. The four-time MP had been seething in resentment for months, without any government or party post in Madhya Pradesh after the Congress won state polls in December 2018.

Only six of the 22 resignations have been accepted by the Speaker.

The Congress claims the rebels have been kept captive in Bengaluru and is desperate for more time to establish contact with them and possibly, win them back.

On the weekend, the Chief Minister even wrote to Home Minister Amit Shah requesting “help” to free the “kidnapped” MLAs.

After a meeting with the Governor that ran past midnight, Kamal Nath told journalists that the Speaker would take a call on today’s voting.

In his letter, Mr Nath said to the Governor: “The Governor cannot require the Speaker to discharge his functions in the manner he considers constitutionally appropriate.”

The Madhya Pradesh assembly currently has 222 of 230 members and the majority mark is 112. The Congress has 108 MLAs in the House, and the support of seven allied legislators. If the resignations of all 22 MLAs are accepted, the Congress’s strength will come way below the new majority mark of 104, and the BJP, with 107 MLAs, can form government.

The number of novel coronavirus cases in the country rose to 110 on Sunday, with Maharashtra reporting the highest followed by Kerala, while over 450 stranded Indians were flown back from Italy and Iran, the two worst-affected countries after China, and quarantined.

Extending the border restrictions in view of the coronavirus outbreak, the government has suspended travel and registration of pilgrims to the Kartarpur Sahib Gurdwara through the corridor from Sunday midnight, besides movement of all types of passengers to Pakistan through international border points.

All types of passenger movement were suspended on Saturday night through the Indo-Bangla, Indo-Nepal, Indo-Bhutan and Indo-Myanmar borders, barring a few specified border checkposts.

In a video-conference of SAARC members, Prime Minister Narendra Modi proposed setting up a COVID-19 emergency fund with India committing USD 10 million initially for it, and asserted that the best way to deal with the pandemic, which has now reportedly killed more than 6,000 people across the world, was by coming together and not growing apart.

Apart from Modi, Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, Maldivian President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, Nepalese Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli, Bhutanese premier Lotay Tshering, Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and Special Assistant to the Pakistani Prime Minister on Health Zafar Mirza participated in the video-conference.

According to the Union Health Ministry, there are 110 cases in India so far, including the two persons who died in Delhi and Karnataka and 17 foreigners. Ten patients have been discharged.

As a precautionary measure, more states ordered closure of public places, including schools, cinema halls and malls, till month-end, courts were restricting their sittings, companies introducing the work-from-home option for employees and film bodies putting off shootings of films and shows.

Among the fresh cases, 13 were reported in Maharashtra, taking the count to 32, the Union health ministry said.

Delhi has so far reported seven positive cases, Kerala 22 and Uttar Pradesh 12. Karnataka has six coronavirus patients while Ladakh three and Jammu and Kashmir has two. Telangana reported three cases. Rajasthan also reported two cases. Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Punjab have reported one case each.

Uttarakhand reported its first coronavirus case on Sunday.

In Kerala, 20 Dubai-bound passengers were detained at the Kochi airport after a UK national, who was under surveillance but sneaked out and joined the group, tested positive for novel coronavirus, official sources said.
