The book titled ‘Veer Savarkar Kitne Veer? (Veer Savarkar, How Brave?)’ was distributed among volunteers during the inauguration of the Seva Dal national training camp in Bhopal’s Bairagarh on Thursday.

The book claims that Savarkar was in a relationship with Godse and says that he had exhorted men to rape women of minority communities. It also blames RSS and Savarkar for the partition of the country in 1947.
While quoting an instance mentioned in Dominique Lapierre and Larry Collins’s book ‘Freedom at Midnight’, the booklet claims, “Prior to adopting Brahmacharya, there is only one mention of Godse’s physical relationship. He had a homosexual relationship with his political mentor Veer Savarkar.”

Page 14 of the booklet also claims, “Savarkar also used to exhort Hindu men to rape minority women.” The booklet also laid blame on Savarkar for coming up with the two-nation theory, which sowed the seeds of partition.

“Savarkar and his friends used to dance in jubilation whenever they learnt about Muslims getting killed in communal riots,” the booklet reads.

In a second booklet, titled ‘RSS aur BJP, Kuchh Tathya aur Jankari (RSS and BJP, Some Facts and Information)’ the Seva Dal claims that the organisation from the outset derived inspiration from fascism and Nazism. “RSS always idolised noted dictators –Hitler and Mussolini, the dictators of 1930s and 1940s,” the booklet reads.

BJP spokesperson Rajneesh Agrawal hit out at Congress over the contents of the booklet saying that the party often distorts and spread misinformation. On charges of the RSS following Hitler and Mussolini, Agrawal said the RSS came into existence in 1925.

On December 15, Sunday, Payal Rohatgi was detained in Rajasthan by the Bundi police for her alleged explosive comments against the former Prime Minister of India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.

Confirming the arrest, SP Mamta Gupta told, “Payal Rohatgi has been detained. Case registered.”

The Rajasthan Police on Sunday morning detained Bollywood actress Payal Rohatgi from her Ahmedabad residence for interrogation in a case relating to objectionable content against the Nehru-Gandhi family on social media.

The actress was booked by the Bundi police under the IT Act on October 10 for the objectionable content against Motilal Nehru, Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi and other members of the family.

She was served a notice earlier this month and told to furnish a reply in this connection.

SP Mamta Gupta told the actress was not cooperating in investigation, a police team was bringing her to Bundi.

State Youth Congress general secretary and a resident of Bundi, Charmesh Sharma, had submitted a complaint along with copies of the offensive content after which a case was registered against the actress.
Rohatgi on her social media sites, including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, had posted the objectionable content on September 6 and 21.

Sharma had alleged in the complaint against the actress that the objectionable content tarnished the image of the country and spread vulgarity, religious hatred besides disgracing a woman’s character.

Earlier this month, the actress on Twitter had alleged that the Rajasthan chief minister was acting against her under pressure from the Gandhi family.

The actress had claimed that she had a “recording” of people referring to the pressure.

The statement had come after the Bundi Sadar police here sent notice to her in connection with the case and sought a reply for uploading the offensive content against the Nehru-Gandhi family.

“It has come to my mind that offices of Sonia Gandhi ji and Priyanka Gandhi are pressuring the chief minister of Rajasthan to go ahead with the FIR against me for making a video on Motilal Nehru,” Payal had alleged on Twitter.

Karan Johar had shared a video from his house party that was attended by Deepika Padukone, Vicky, Ranbir Kapoor, Varun Dhawan and Shahid Kapoor among others. A political leader had claimed that drug abuse took place at the party, basing his claim on the video.

Vicky, who was recovering from dengue at the time of the party and later left for Arunachal Pradesh for a show with the Indian Army, said he had no idea about the media frenzy that followed. “It was a very chilled-out party. That video is put out. And right after, I am in the hills in Arunachal Pradesh, with the Army, for three-four days, where there is no network. Obviously I don’t know.

The incident happened late on Thursday night when Akash Mukhopadhyay, 20, while taking a turn, rammed his black sedan into the wall of the club in the posh Golf Garden area, the sources said.

Locals claimed many people had a narrow escape as the vehicle was being driven at a breakneck speed. The car crashed into the boundary wall, breaking a portion of it, with the driver trapped inside.

There was no report of any injury as several people present at the spot scampered to safety on time, the sources said quoting eyewitnesses.

Mr Mukhopadhyay came out of the car unscathed with the help of his father, who rushed out of their apartment nearby on hearing the commotion, the sources said.

“Investigation is going on and the man is being questioned,” a source at the police station said.

In a tweet, Ms Ganguly said the law should take its own course.

Later, in another tweet she said, “How funny.. i spoke to him in the afternoon.. discussed about his lunch and other basic things at 3pm.. now i get to hear such stupid comments by the media. He just left this morning by 7.50 flight.. what sort of political rubbish is this? (sic)”.

A news portal published a story comparing Taapsee with Kangana, calling her the real ‘Queen of Bollywood’. Taapsee replied, “Arre arre! Aise mat boliye. Queen unhi ko rehne dijiye nahi toh phir copy kehlaugi, main ek actor hi sahi hu bas aise hi mera sath dete rahiye. dhanyawad (Don’t say that. Let her be the queen or I’ll be called a copy again. The feud started when Taapsee took to Twitter to praise the trailer of Kangana’s film Judgementall Hai Kya on July 3. “This is so cool!!!! Always had high expectations out of this one n this looks so worth it!” she wrote in her tweet. Rangoli then posted a series of tweets in which she accused Taapsee of copying her sister and not acknowledging her while praising the trailer.
