										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>NEW DELHI.</strong> On the occasion of World Environment Day, the Capacity Building Commission conducted a Samuhik Charcha focused on public leadership, sustainability, and community participation through the lens of a specific case study on pond rejuvenation and ecosystem-based groundwater recharging in Udham Singh Nagar. Led by CBC Chairperson S. Radha Chauhan, alongside Member of Administration Alka Mittal and Secretary Jagdeep Gupta, the interactive session brought together the entire CBC team to deliberate on critical issues such as sustaining community behavioral changes and deriving actionable governance lessons for public servants. Participants emphasized that lasting environmental stewardship occurs when local leadership, civic institutions, and communities coordinate collective actions, concluding that resource conservation must become a foundational lens for future policy implementation and everyday administrative decision-making.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Gurugram.</strong> Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), a Maharatna CPSE under the Ministry of Power, Government of India, is observing *Swachhata Pakhwada* across its offices nationwide, reinforcing its commitment to the vision of a cleaner, healthier, and greener India. As part of the campaign, employees took the Swachhata Pledge, reaffirming their dedication to cleanliness in workplaces, communities, and daily life. A cleanliness drive was also conducted around office premises and surrounding areas to promote a hygienic environment. The initiative was led by Shri Vamsi Rama Mohan Burra, CMD, along with Shri G. Ravisankar, Director (Finance), Dr. Yatindra Dwivedi, Director (Personnel), Shri Naveen Srivastava, Director (Operations), and other senior officials at the Corporate Centre in Gurugram.</p>
<p>To further spread the message of cleanliness and civic responsibility, POWERGRID organized a *Nukkad Natak* (street play) to engage the public and create awareness about sanitation and environmental stewardship. The observance reflects the organization’s broader commitment to sustainable development and community participation. As of 30 May 2026, POWERGRID operates 291 substations, over 185,102 circuit kilometres of transmission lines, and 628,516 MVA of transformation capacity. Leveraging advanced technologies, automation, and digital solutions, the company continues to maintain an average transmission system availability of more than 99.78%, underscoring its leadership in India’s power transmission sector.</p>
