										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Bengaluru, 11<sup>th</sup> December, 2024: </strong>Tivolt Electric Vehicles Private Limited (Tivolt), an EV venture of Murugappa Group and a subsidiary of TI Clean Mobility has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), a leading player in the Indian renewable energy sector and a prominent EV Charging solutions provider, to enhance e-mobility for commercial vehicles across the country. This partnership aims to build a robust EV Charging ecosystem by leveraging Tata Power&#8217;s expertise in diversified EV Charging solutions with Tivolt’s rapidly growing network of small electric commercial vehicles across the country.</p>
<p>The MoU was signed by Mr. Saju Nair, CEO, Tivolt Electric Vehicles and Mr. Virendra Goyal, Head BD EV charging, TPREL, in the presence of Mr. Shivram Bikkina, Chief -Solar Rooftop &amp; EV charging business, TPREL.</p>
<p>TPREL will bring its extensive experience in setting up and managing an expansive EV Charging infrastructure across the country to Tivolt dealerships, customer locations, and high-traffic public spaces. By deploying these strategically located EV Chargers, TPREL will empower commercial EV owners with reliable and highly accessible charging.</p>
<p>With a focus on easy charging solutions for small electric commercial vehicles, TPREL has previously partnered with other OEMs for providing 200+ customised EV Charging stations to customers in over 100 cities, including Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Pune and Kochi.</p>
<p>Taking this initiative, a step further, TPREL will also explore the integration of solar energy systems to power Tivolt dealerships and customer locations. This innovative approach not only reduces the carbon footprint but also lowers the cost of charging for consumers, making the shift to electric vehicles more affordable and sustainable. This aligns with our broader commitment to driving India’s transition to a cleaner energy future through renewable solutions.</p>
<p>Commenting on the MoU, Mr. Deepesh Nanda, CEO &amp; Managing Director, TPREL said, &#8220;Through our partnership with Tivolt, we are enhancing our EV charging network to empower the small and commercial vehicle segment—key drivers of India’s economy as they ensure seamless last-mile deliveries and efficient transportation. <p>TPREL has expanded its network under the brand name of EZ Charge to over 1,00,000 home chargers, 6500+ public, semi-public, and fleet charging points, along with 1100+ bus charging stations across 530 cities and towns. These chargers have been strategically deployed at diverse and accessible locations such as highways, hotels, malls, hospitals, offices, residential complexes, etc.</p>
<p>TPREL and Tivolt are committed to making EV charging for commercial EV customers more convenient, affordable, and eco-friendly paving the way for a cleaner, and more sustainable India.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Bengaluru, 3rd October 2024:</strong> Ashok Leyland, the Indian flagship of the Hinduja Group and the country’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturer, signed a multipronged partnership agreement with Japan-based global electric motor drives manufacturer Nidec Motor Corporation (“Nidec”), a 100%-owned subsidiary of Nidec Corporation. This will enable both Ashok Leyland and Nidec to develop novel e-drive motors and systems that will cater to the specific needs of India&#8217;s commercial vehicle industry, ensuring advanced and efficient electric mobility solutions.</p>
<p>The agreement was signed by Mr. Shenu Agarwal, MD &amp; CEO, Ashok Leyland and Mr. Michael Briggs, President, Nidec Motion &amp; Energy in the presence of Dr. N. Saravanan, Chief Technology Officer, Ashok Leyland, Dr. Kanakasabapathi Subramanian, SVP Product Development, Ashok Leyland, Mr. Greg Gorman, Chief Growth Officer, Nidec Motion &amp; Energy; Mr. Anthony Pickering, President Nidec Motion; Mr.  Glen Feng, President Nidec Traction business segment; and Mr. Girish D Kulkarni, MD, Nidec Motion &amp; Energy India.</p>
<p>Ashok Leyland and Nidec will work together to establish a Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Electric Drive Units (EDUs). This CoE will focus on developing cutting-edge motor technologies and power electronics systems for electric vehicles, along with innovations in gear-shifting mechanisms. The collaboration will also involve joint research and development efforts, with both companies contributing to skilling, lab infrastructure, and defining novel, differentiated motor technologies for the EV portfolio of Ashok Leyland and its subsidiary, Switch Mobility.</p>
<p>Ashok Leyland will continue to source motors from Nidec for its existing electric vehicle line-up, while also collaborating on research and development for future electric solutions. This partnership underscores the common goal of both companies to innovate and design e-drives that meet the varied terrains and operational needs of India’s commercial vehicle sector. Additionally, the collaboration aims to build a strong local supply chain for next-generation electric vehicles in India.</p>
