<p>Addressing the newly inducted executives from various technical and non-technical disciplines, Shri Satish Jha congratulated them on joining the Coal India family and welcomed them to ECL, describing their posting as a unique opportunity to gain invaluable professional experience in one of the country&#8217;s most diverse mining environments.</p>

<p>The inaugural session also featured an inspiring address by Shri Devamira Das, the Chief Speaker, who shared his experiences and insights with the participants, motivating them to pursue excellence with dedication, curiosity and a spirit of continuous learning.</p>
<p>The inaugural session was chaired by Shri Gunjan Sinha, Director (HR), ECL, who encouraged the Management Trainees to imbibe ECL&#8217;s core organisational values and strive for excellence in every responsibility entrusted to them. He highlighted the importance of teamwork, ethical conduct and continuous skill development in building successful professional careers.</p>
<p>Shri Girish Gopinathan Nair, Director (Technical), ECL, also addressed the gathering and shared his professional experiences with the young, encouraging them to adopt a practical approach to problem-solving and operational excellence. The enthusiastic trainees actively participated in the interactive sessions and shared their ideas on innovation, operational improvement and value addition to the company&#8217;s functioning.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><b>Sanctoria, Asansol, July 15, 2026:</b> Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL), a subsidiary of Coal India Limited, has issued appointment letters to 56 candidates under its Dependent Employment Scheme and Resettlement &amp; Rehabilitation (R&amp;R) Policy.</p>
<p>Of the total appointments, 17 were made under the Dependent Employment Scheme in accordance with the provisions of the National Coal Wage Agreement (NCWA), while 39 candidates received appointments under ECL&#8217;s R&amp;R Policy, aimed at providing livelihood opportunities to project-affected families.</p>
<p>The appointment letters were handed over to the candidates at a ceremony held here at company headquarters in the presence of Shri Md. Anzar Alam, Director (Finance), ECL and Shri Gunjan Kumar Sinha, Director (Human Resources), ECL.</p>
<p>Shri Dibyajyoti Ghosh, General Manager (HR)/HoD (Recruitment &amp; Employment Department), Shri Punyadeep Bhattacharya, General Manager (HR/IR), and Shri Nazrul Islam, General Manager (HR/WBE), were also among senior officers from ECL Headquarters and various operational areas present on the occasion.</p>
<p>These appointments form part of ECL&#8217;s ongoing efforts to implement the provisions of the NCWA and its R&amp;R Policy, which provide employment assistance to eligible dependents of employees and families affected by mining projects.</p>
<p>The initiative is aimed at strengthening social security, supporting rehabilitation measures and contributing to the socio-economic development of communities associated with the company&#8217;s operations.</p>
