Shri Subrat Kumar Dash has assumed charge as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of NTPC Mining Limited (NML), the coal mining subsidiary of NTPC Limited. He officially took over the role on June 17, 2026, at the company’s headquarters in Ranchi. An Electrical Engineer by profession, Dash joined NTPC in 1989 as an Executive Trainee and brings nearly 37 years of rich experience in the power and energy sector. His appointment is expected to further strengthen NTPC Mining’s operational excellence and support the company’s strategic growth in the coal mining business.

Shri Shivam Srivastava, Director (Fuel) along with Shri Subrat Kumar Dash, HoP (PB-CMP) and Shri Chandrashekhar (Mine Agent PB-CMP) received this award from Hon’ble Union Minister Shri G Kishan Reddy and Hon’ble MoS Shri Satish Chandra Dubey at a function in Mumbai.
