BILASPUR. South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) has earned national recognition after its innovative vigilance initiatives were featured in the Central Vigilance Commission’s (CVC) special issue of VigEye Vani focused on systemic improvement. Under the strategic guidance of Himanshu Jain, Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO), SECL has successfully leveraged technology to enhance transparency, accountability, and preventive vigilance across its mining operations.

The featured reforms include AI-enabled surveillance systems, the Integrated Command and Control Centre, the DigiCOAL platform, GPS-based vehicle tracking, RFID access controls, and the specialized Mission Zero Scrap initiative. These digital interventions are designed to eliminate pilferage, strengthen systemic monitoring, and improve operational governance. By implementing these advanced tracking frameworks, SECL continues to establish new benchmarks in corporate integrity for public sector enterprises.
