										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><b>Sanctoria, 12th August, 2026:</b> Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL), a subsidiary of Coal India Limited and a leading coal producer in the country, convened its 51st Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 12th August, 2026 at its Headquarters in Sanctoria. The meeting was held in hybrid mode, allowing participation both in person and through virtual platforms, ensuring broad-based engagement.<br />
The AGM was graced by the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including:</p>

<p>The meeting was also attended by all Heads of Departments at ECL Headquarters and Area General Managers, reflecting a unified and committed leadership presence.</p>
<p>In his address to the shareholders and stakeholders, Shri Satish Jha, CMD, ECL, reflected on the performance of the Company for the financial year 2025–26. He stated:</p>
<p>“F.Y. 2025–26 has been a landmark year for Eastern Coalfields Limited. It stands out not only for our highest-ever coal production but also for the significant qualitative improvements made in our operations, sustainability practices and governance frameworks.”</p>
<p>Chairman, CIL acknowledged the performance of the company for F.Y. 2025-26. He further stressed upon the need of increasing the revenue sharing model of mines. Chairman also emphasized upon assuring good quality of coal and sustainable development initiatives.</p>
<p>Key highlights of the AGM included the presentation and adoption of the Audited Financial Statements for the year ended 31st March, 2026, along with the Directors’ Report and discussion on the future roadmap of the company.</p>
<p>The Company reiterated its unwavering commitment to safety, sustainability, digital innovation and nation-building by ensuring a reliable coal supply for the country’s energy needs.</p>

CMD Shri Harish Duhan accepted the award in New Delhi yesterday, recognizing SECL’s commitment to sustainable mining, land reclamation, scientific mine closure, and green energy initiatives.</p>
<p>Alongside this honor, SECL became the first Coal India subsidiary to cross 50 Million Tonnes of coal production in FY 2026-27, registering a 9.5% year-on-year growth.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>RANCHI.</strong> Shri Chaudhari Shivraj Singh has assumed charge as the Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD) of Central Mine Planning &amp; Design Institute Limited (CMPDI),  a subsidiary of Coal India Limited. With over 35 years of rich experience in the coal sector, he has held several key positions at Coal India Limited and Northern Coalfields Limited, including serving as Officer on Special Duty to the CMD of CMPDI. A B.Tech in Mining Engineering from IIT (BHU), Varanasi, Shri Singh began his career at NCL in 1990 and is widely recognised for his expertise in opencast mine planning, project and corporate planning, enterprise risk management, and strategic execution, having led major initiatives such as the Singrauli Coalfield Master Plan, contributed to surpassing 100 MTPA coal production at NCL, and played a significant role in shaping CIL Vision 2047 and the Long Term Plan 2035.</p>
