During the session, the CMD Shri Sanjay Swarup outlined several new initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and service quality, such as the induction of additional reach stackers including electric RSTs, provision of additional rail lines, and the introduction of AI-enabled terminal operations and documentation systems. The session was well received by the stakeholders, who appreciated CONCOR’s proactive measures and also shared valuable suggestions for further improvement. The event concluded with the presentation of awards to top-performing stakeholders for FY 2024–25, recognizing their contribution and partnership with CONCOR.

Md. Asad Alam, Chairman and Managing Director, BCL and senior officials of BCL warmly welcomed the guests. During the visit, Shri Sanjay Swarup and Shri Ajit Kumar Panda inspected the 20-ft ISO Tank Container designed for bulk cement transportation, as well as the BLSS Wagon (25T Spine Car) at the workshop. They also reviewed other wagons and containers being manufactured for CONCOR.

Expressing his admiration for BCL’s advanced capabilities and operational efficiency, Shri Sanjay Swarup said, “Braithwaite has demonstrated exceptional engineering expertise and a commitment to excellence. As CONCOR continues to expand its logistics infrastructure, we see immense potential for collaboration in areas such as wagon and container procurement.”

Md. Asad Alam assured for commitment of BCL to complete supply order of CONCOR and strengthening ties with CONCOR, emphasizing the importance of such partnerships in achieving shared goals of enhancing efficiency and sustainability in the logistics and rail sectors.

The visit also included discussions on infrastructure development, supply chain optimization, and leveraging indigenous engineering expertise to support India’s “Make in India” initiative.
