Shri Sunil Kumar Nagdawne Assumes Charge as CMD of Pawan Hans Limited

NEW DELHI. Pawan Hans Limited (PHL), India’s premier helicopter services company and a Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India, today announced that Shri Sunil Kumar Nagdawne has assumed charge as its CMD with effect from 3 July 2026. Shri Nagdawne brings with him over three decades of distinguished leadership experience spanning aviation, energy, infrastructure management, operational excellence and stakeholder engagement.

Prior to joining Pawan Hans, he served as General Manager (Aviation), Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), where he led critical aviation fuel operations, airport infrastructure initiatives and strategic business development activities supporting both civil and defence aviation sectors.

Dr. Bijay Kumar Mohanty Assumes Additional Charge as CMD of IREDA

NEW DELHI. Dr. Bijay Kumar Mohanty, Director (Finance) of Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd. (IREDA), has assumed the additional charge of Chairman & Managing Director (CMD). The Ministry of New & Renewable Energy has entrusted him with the responsibility for a period of three months, or until a regular CMD is appointed or further orders are issued, whichever is earlier. He succeeds Pradip Kumar Das, who retired as CMD on June 30.

Dr. Mohanty has been serving as Director (Finance) since October 2023 and as Chief Financial Officer of IREDA shortly thereafter. With over 27 years of experience in the renewable energy and power sectors, he has held key positions at IREDA, REC Limited, REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), CESCO, and GRIDCO. A highly qualified finance professional, he holds multiple postgraduate degrees, a law degree, and a Ph.D. in Commerce, and is widely recognised for his expertise in project financing, renewable energy, and power sector development.

Lavanya Mundayur Recommended by FSIB for NIACL CMD Position

The Financial Services Institutions Bureau (FSIB) has recommended Ms. Lavanya Mundayur for appointment as Chairperson and Managing Director (CMD) of The New India Assurance Company Limited. The Bureau conducted interactions with six eligible candidates for the top leadership role at the state-owned insurer before finalizing its recommendation. Following the assessment and selection process, FSIB selected Lavanya Mundayur for the prestigious position at NIACL.
