The effort reflects Coal India’s focus on water conservation, sustainability and responsible resource management. By treating and reusing mine water, the initiative aims to turn every drop into an opportunity to support community well-being while promoting sustainable practices in and around coal mining areas.

The conclave served as a platform for discussions on sustainable water management, bringing together policymakers, industry leaders, academia, startups, and innovators to share ideas and solutions. The Minister also felicitated winners of the Jal Shakti Hackathon for their contributions to the water sector. The event was attended by Minister of State V Somanna, Raj Bhushan Choudhary, and other senior officials.
