Over 10 fresh cases of novel coronavirus cases have been reported from across the country on Tuesday morning, taking India’s tally to 511. New cases have been reported from Maharashtra, Karnataka, Gujarat and Manipur. India’s tally also includes the death toll which rose to 10 on Monday after three more coronavirus deaths.
A 23-year-old, with a travel history to the UK, tested positive for novel coronavirus on Tuesday the first confirmed case of infection reported from North East India. The 23-year-old from Manipur is stable and is being treated, officials have said.

Maharashtra, which has been the worst hit, reported 23 new cases on Monday, taking the total of positive cases to 97 — the highest number of confirmed coronavirus cases in India so far. At 95, Kerala is close behind.

Karnataka has 37 cases of coronavirus patients after four more persons tested positive for the deadly virus on Tuesday. The number of cases in Telangana have risen to 33, including 10 foreigners.

Uttar Pradesh has 33 positive cases, including a foreign national. Gujarat has reported 30 cases and Delhi has 29 patients, while Rajasthan has 32 positive cases, including two foreign nationals.

In Haryana, there are 26 cases, including 14 foreigners, while Punjab has 23 cases.

Ladakh has 13 cases, while Tamil Nadu has 12 cases, including two foreigners. West Bengal reported seven cases, while Madhya Pradesh has six cases so far.

Chandigarh has six cases, while Andhra Pradesh reported seven cases. Jammu and Kashmir has four cases.
Uttarakhand has reported five positive cases and Himachal Pradesh three, while there are two case each in Bihar and Odisha. Puducherry and Chhattisgarh have reported a case each.

According to Health Ministry data on Tuesday, the total number of Covid-19 cases in India includes at least 41 foreign nationals. Thirty-six people have been cured/discharged/migrated, it added.

As cases of the viral infection surged in the past few days, authorities have put almost the entire country under lockdown, banning gathering of people and suspending road, rail and air traffic till March 31.

At 99 cases on Monday, India saw the highest jump in its Covid-19 tally in a single day. India also reported three coronavirus-related deaths on Monday, taking the death toll to 10 as the number of coronavirus cases climbed to 499.

A total of 32 states and Union Territories have imposed complete lockdown, covering a total of 548 districts in the country, to check the spread of coronavirus, the government said on Monday. On Sunday, 80 districts were under lockdown.

The central government has also asked states to enforce additional restrictions, if necessary, leading to imposition of curfew in Punjab and Maharashtra.

The states going into lockdown till March 31 include those where coronavirus cases have been reported – Maharashtra, Kerala, Delhi, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Karnataka, Telangana, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, West Bengal, Chandigarh, Chhattisgarh, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Puducherry and Uttarakhand.

People entering Assam from Coronavirus infected states will be stamped and will be kept under Home Isolation for 14 days.

If found in streets or public place before the completion of 14 days quarantined, will be booked immediately by Police.

Three new coronavirus positive cases were reported in Rajasthan on Sunday, taking the total number in the state to 28. One positive case each was reported from Bhilwara, Jhunjhunu and Jodhpur, Additional Chief Secretary Rohit Kumar Singh said. He said that out of the total 28 cases, 13 are from Bhilwara and four from Jhunjhunu and rest from other parts of the state including the capital city Jaipur. Singh said that the government is in process if earmarking quarantine facility for 1 lakh people to face any emergency.

Chhattisgarh chief minister Bhupesh Baghel announced a lockdown in urban areas of the state till March 31 in view of the novel coronavirus outbreak. “To prevent the spread of virus in Chhattisgarh, we have decided to impose curfew till 31 March in all urban areas. During this period, all offices, institutions,
transport services etc will be closed. However, essential services such as medical shops, grocery shops, vegetable outlets, milk shops and petrol pumps will function,” he said.

Besides, services like electricity supply, water supply, domestic gas supply, municipal sanitation, waste disposal and commercial transport will continue to function as before, he said.

Karnataka has 14 coronavirus patients. The number of cases in Ladakh rose to eight and Jammu and Kashmir four. Telangana has reported six cases which include two foreigners.

Presently the last date of filing GSTR-3B returns for every taxpayer is 20th of every month. From now on, the last date for filing of GSTR-3B for the taxpayers having annual turnover of Rs 5 crore and above in the previous financial year would be 20th of the month. Thus, around 8 lakh regular taxpayers would have the last date of GSTR-3B filing as 20th of every month without late fees.

The taxpayers having annual turnover below Rs 5 crore in previous financial year will be divided further in two categories. The tax filers from 15 States/ UTs, i.e., Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Daman and Diu, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Goa, Lakshadweep, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh will now be having the last date of filing GSTR-3B returns as 22nd of the month without late fees. This category would have around 49 lakh GSTR-3B filers who would now have 22nd of every month as their last date for filing GSTR-3B returns.

For the remaining 46 lakh taxpayers from the 22 States/UTs of Jammu and Kashmir, Laddakh, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Chandigarh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Meghalaya, Assam, West Bengal, Jharkhand and Odisha having annual turnover below Rs 5 crore in previous financial year will now be having last date of filing the GSTR-3B as 24th of the month without late fees.

The Finance Ministry said that the necessary notification in this regard would be issued later by the competent authority.

In a statement issues, the Ministry further said that it has also taken a note of difficulties and concerns expressed by the taxpayers regarding filing of GSTR-3B and other returns. The matter has been discussed by the GSTN with Infosys, the Managed Service Provider, which has come out with above solution to de-stress the process as a temporary but immediate measure. For further improving the performance of GSTN filing portal on permanent basis, several technological measures are being worked out with Infosys and will be in place by April 2020.

All the accused including Honeypreet appeared before the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate of Panchkula. Charges were framed during the hearing. Honeypreet, appearing on bail, appeared in court for the first time. After hearing in the court December 13 is fixed as next date for arguments .

Honeypreet was granted bail by the CJM court on 6 November. Earlier, on November 2, the court removed the sedition section from 15 accused including Honeypreet in this case.

The Panchkula court has framed charges against the number 2 accused under sections 216, 145, 150, 151, 152, 153 and 120 B of the IPC. There is a case of FIR 345 filed in the case of riots in Panchkula on 25 August 2017.

when Honeypreet was lodged in Ambala Jail in judicial custody as an accused, she used to appear in court through video conferencing. But now she has got bail after the removal of the sedition section and she will have to appear physically in the court on every date till the court .

At the same time, defense lawyer Suresh Rohila said that all the accused except the three accused appeared in the court. The lawyer said that the charges have been framed on the accused and the trial will begin on that.
