Steel Minister directs to make non-operational mines functional

Union Steel Minister Ram Chandra Prasad Singh on Friday directed PSUs under his ministry to start mining activity at their non-operational mines.

According to a steel ministry statement, the minister made these remarks at a meeting with CMDs of Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), NMDC and Manganese Ore India Limited (MOIL).

“Steel Minister has expressed his concern over the non-operationalisation of certain mines…and directed the concerned CPSEs to finalise the roadmap for starting the mining operations in these non-working leases/mines,” the ministry statement said.

Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Wednesday announced that his cabinet had decided to carry out the auction of six to eight mining blocks in the state through the state-run mining corporation by mid-December.

“It is almost finalised. By December 15, we should be able to complete the auction procedure for about six to eight (mining) blocks. It will be done through the corporation but State Bank of India has been taken on board for the auction,” Sawant said after a cabinet meeting on Wednesday morning.

The announcement comes at a time when restarting mining has become one of the top election promises in poll-bound Goa. Mining, which was an important source of livelihood in Goa along with tourism, came to a complete halt after a Supreme Court order in 2018. Mining had, in fact, virtually stopped in 2012 itself while the issue was under litigation. A sector that has been awaiting revival in line with the directions of the Supreme Court is now a poll issue, with every political player offering to revive it and restore livelihoods.

पासवान सचमुच राजनीति के मौसम वैग्यानिक थे

लोजपा के संस्थापक और केंद्रीय मंत्री रामविलास पासवान का गुरुवार देर शाम दिल्ली के फोर्टिस एस्कॉर्ट अस्पताल में निधन हो गया। उनके पुत्र और लोजपा के राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष चिराग पासवान ने ट्वीट कर यह जानकारी दी। उन्होंने लिखा… पापा अब आप इस दुनिया में नहीं हैं, लेकिन मुझे पता है, आप जहां भी हैं, हमेशा मेरे साथ हैं। रामविलास पासवान लंबे समय से बीमार चल रहे थे। शनिवार को उनके हार्ट की सर्जरी हुई थी। वे बिहार की राजनीति में चार दशक से एक मजबूत स्तंभ बने रहे।

1977 में आपातकाल के दौरान राजनीति में आये पासवान ने आते ही धमाका कर दिया था वो पहला ही लोकसभा चुनाव देश भर में सबसे ज्यादा मतों से जीते .पासवान के हर बडे नेता से संबंध रहे और वो ये जानते थे कि सत्ता के बिना अपनों की मदद नहीं की जा सकती .इसलिए 1989 में जनता दल की सरकार बनने के बाद से चाहे नरसिंह राव की सरकार हो या अटल जी की या फिर देवेगौडा की या मनमोहन की और अब मोदी की हर सरकार में वो केबिनेट मिनिस्टर बनते रहे . पासवान की सबसे बडी खासियत यही रही कि वो मंत्री बनने के बाद भी सहज सुलभ बने रहे . इसलिए उनको जमीन की खबर मिलती

रही . इससे वो राजनीती का मौसम भांपते रहे और समय रहते सही जगह तार जोड लेते

राजद अध्यक्ष लालू प्रसाद ने ट्वीटर पर केंद्रीय मंत्री रामविलास के निधन पर शोक प्रकट किया। कहा कि रामविलास भाई के असामयिक निधन का दुःखद समाचार सुनकर अति मर्माहत हूं। विगत 45 वर्षों का अटूट रिश्ता और उनके संग लड़ी तमाम सामाजिक, राजनीतिक लड़ाइयां आँखों के सामने तैर रही है। याद करते हुए लालू ने कहा कि रामविलास भाई, आप जल्दी चले गए। इससे ज़्यादा कुछ कहने की स्थिति में नहीं हूं।

पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री राबड़ी देवी, नेता प्रतिपक्ष तेजस्वी प्रसाद यादव ने केन्द्रीय मंत्री के निधन पर शोक प्रकट किया। कहा कि वे देश के स्थापित राजनेता थे। उनके निधन के समाचार को जान कर हम सब अत्यंत दुखी एवं मर्माहत हैं। उनका संबंध हमारे परिवार से बहुत गहरा और निकट का था। वे हमसब के अभिभावक के समान थे। उनके निधन से सामाजिक एवं राजनीतिक जगत को अपूरणीय क्षति हुई है। राजद नेता और रामविलास पासवान के दामाद अनिल कुमार साधु ने भी उनके निधन पर शोक प्रकट किया। कहा कि उनका जाना मेरे लिए सबसे गहरा आघात है। वे इस कदर इतनी जल्दी इस दुनिया से विदा लेंगे, इसका अंदेशा नहीं था।

पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री जीतन राम मांझी ने केंद्रीय मंत्री रामविलास पासवान के निधन पर दुख व्यक्त किया है। उन्होंने कहा है कि देश ने अपना नेता खो दिया है। मैंने अपना बड़ा भाई खो दिया।

GST crossed 1 lakh crore mark

The gross GST revenue collected in the month of December, 2019 is ₹ 1,03,184crore of which CGST is ₹ 19,962crore, SGST is ₹ 26,792crore, IGST is ₹ 48,099crore (including ₹ 21,295crore collected on imports) and Cess is ₹ 8,331crore (including ₹ 847crore collected on imports). The total number of GSTR 3B Returns filed for the month of November up to 31stDecember, 2019 is 81.21lakh.

The GST revenues during the month of December, 2019 from domestic transactions has shown an impressive growth of 16% over the revenue during the month of December, 2018. If we consider IGST collected from imports, the total revenue during December, 2019 has increased by 9% in comparison to the revenue during December, 2018. During this month, the IGST on import of goods has seen a negative growth of (-) 10%, but is an improvement over (-) 13% last month and (-) 20% in the month of October.

The government has settled ₹ 21,814crore to CGST and ₹ 15,366crore to SGST from IGST as regular settlement. The total revenue earned by Central Government and the State Governments after regular settlement in the month of December, 2019 is ₹ 41,776 crore for CGST and ₹ 42,158 crore for the SGST.
