<p>The recovery of <strong>12,202 </strong>patients in the last 24 hours has increased the cumulative tally of recovered patients (since the beginning of the pandemic) to <strong>3,39,46,749.</strong></p>
<p>Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at <strong>98.32%</strong>.</p>

<p>Sustained and collaborative efforts by the Centre and the States/UTs continue the trend of less than 50,000 Daily New Cases that is being reported for 149 consecutive days now.</p>
<p><strong>7,579 new cases</strong> were reported in the last 24 hours.</p>

<p>The Active Caseload presentlystands at <strong>1,13,584. </strong>Active cases presently constitute <strong>0.33%</strong> of the country&#8217;s total Positive Cases, which <strong>is l</strong><strong>owest since March 2020.</strong></p>

<p>The testing capacity across the country continues to be expanded. The last 24 hours saw a total of</p>
<p>9,64,980tests being conducted. India has so far conducted over <strong>63.34 Cr (63,34,89,239</strong>) cumulative tests.</p>
<p>While testing capacity has been enhanced across the country, <strong>Weekly Positivity Rate at 0.93% remains less than 2% for the last 60 days now. </strong>The <strong>Daily Positivity rate reported to be 0.79%. </strong>The daily Positivity rate has remained below2% for last 50 days and below 3% for 85 consecutive days now.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>India continues to report a sustained slide in the daily new COVID cases. The country has reported <strong>60,753 </strong>Daily New Cases in the last 24 hours.</p>
<p><strong>Less than 1 lakh Daily New Cases</strong>have been reported for <strong>12 continuous days now</strong>. This is a result of sustained and collaborative efforts by the Centre and the States/UTs.</p>

<p>India has also been witnessing a continuous fall in the active caseload. The country’s Active Caseload today stands at 7,60,019. <strong>This is the lowest reported active cases after 74 days.</strong></p>
<p>A net decline of <strong>38,637 </strong>is witnessed in the last 24 hours and active cases are now only <strong>2.55%</strong> of the country&#8217;s total Positive Cases.</p>

<p>As more people are getting recovered from COVID-19 infection, India’s Daily Recoveries continue to outnumber the Daily New Cases for 37 consecutive days now. <strong>97,743 </strong>recoveries were registered in the last 24 hours.</p>
<p>Nearly 37 thousand <strong>(36,990) </strong>more recoveries were reported during the last 24 hours as compared to the daily new cases.</p>

<p>Out of the people infected since the beginning of the pandemic, <strong>2,86,78,390 people have already recovered from COVID-19 </strong>&amp;<strong> 97,743 </strong>patients have recovered in the last 24 hours. This constitutes an overall recovery rate of <strong>96.16%, </strong>which is showing a sustained increasing trend<strong>.</strong></p>

<p>With substantially ramped up testing capacity across the country, a total of 19,02,009tests were conducted in the last 24 hours in the country. Cumulatively, India has conducted over 38.92crore (<strong>38,92,07,637</strong>) tests so far.</p>
<p>While on one side testing has been enhanced across the country, a continued decline in weekly case positivity is noticed. <strong>Weekly Positivity Rate is currently at 3.58%</strong> while the <strong>Daily Positivity rate stands at 2.98% today. </strong>It has remained less than 5% for 12 consecutive days now.</p>

<p>India continues to report a sustained slide in the daily new COVID cases. The country has reported <strong>62,224 </strong>Daily New Cases in the last 24 hours. <strong>Less than 1 lakh Daily New Cases</strong>have been reported for <strong>9 continuous days now</strong>. This is a result of sustained and collaborative efforts by the Centre and the States/UTs.</p>

<p>A net decline of <strong>47,946</strong>is witnessed in the last 24 hours and active cases are now only <strong>2.92%</strong> of the country&#8217;s total Positive Cases.</p>

<p>While on one side testing has been enhanced across the country, a continued decline in weekly case positivity is noticed. <strong>Weekly Positivity Rate is currently at 4.17%</strong> while the <strong>Daily Positivity rate stands at 3.22% today. </strong>It has remained less than 5% for 9 consecutive days now.</p>

Less than 2 lakh daily new cases are being reported since the last two days. <strong>1,73,790 </strong>Daily New Cases were registered in the last 24 hours.</p>

<p>1,10,811 more recoveries during the last 24 hours as compared to the daily new cases.</p>

<p>While on one side testing has been enhanced across the country, a continued decline in weekly case positivity is noticed. <strong>Weekly Positivity Rate is currently at 9.84%</strong> while the <strong>Daily Positivity rate has reduced and is at 8.36% today. </strong>It has remained less than 10% for 5 consecutive days now.</p>

<p>The cumulative number of COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in the country has exceeded <strong>20.89 Cr </strong>today under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive. India is the second country after the US to achieve the vaccination landmark of 20 Crore.</p>
<p>A total of <strong>20,89,02,445 </strong>vaccine doses have been administered through 29,72,971 sessions, as per the provisional report till 7 am today</p>

<p><strong>2,08,921 </strong>Daily New Cases were registered in the last 24 hours.</p>

<p>Cumulatively, the Active Caseload has also now reduced to 24,95,591. Active Cases <strong>have decreased </strong>since its last peak on 10<sup>th</sup> May 2021.</p>
<p>A net decline of <strong>91,191</strong>is witnessed in the last 24 hours. It now comprises <strong>9.19% </strong>of the country&#8217;s total Positive Cases.</p>

<p>India’s Daily Recoveries continue to outnumber the Daily New Cases for the 13th consecutive day. <strong>2,95,955 </strong>recoveries were registered in the last 24 hours. 87,034 more recoveries during the last 24 hours as compared to the daily new cases.</p>

<p>India’s cumulative recoveries have reached <strong>2,43,50,816 </strong>today with the <strong>2,95,955</strong> patients who have recovered in the last 24 hours.. The National Recovery Rate has grown further to touch <strong>89.66%.</strong></p>

<p>On another front, the <strong>highest ever single day tests 22,17,320</strong> were conducted in the last 24 hours in the country and cumulatively 33,48,11,496 tests have been done so far.</p>
<p>The <strong>Weekly Positivity Rate is currently at 11.45%</strong> while the <strong>Daily Positivity rate has reduced and now stands at 9.42% today. </strong>It has remained less than 10% for 2 consecutive days now.</p>

<p>India has achieved a new milestone in its vaccination drive as the cumulative number of COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in the country has exceeded <strong>20 Cr </strong>today under the Phase-3 of the Nationwide Vaccination Drive.</p>
<p>A total of <strong>20,06,62,456 </strong>vaccine doses have been administered through 28,70,378 sessions, as per the provisional report till 7 am today. These include <strong>97,96,058 </strong>HCWs who have taken the 1<sup>st</sup> dose and <strong>67,29,213 </strong>HCWs who have taken the 2<sup>nd</sup>dose, <strong>1,51,71,950 </strong>FLWs (1<sup>st</sup>dose), <strong>83,84,001 </strong>FLWs (2<sup>nd</sup>dose), <strong>1,29,57,009 </strong>beneficiaries under 18-44 age group (1<sup>st</sup>dose), <strong>6,20,88,772 </strong>(1<sup>st</sup>dose) and <strong>1,00,30,729 </strong>(2<sup>nd</sup> dose) beneficiaries aged 45 to 60 years. <strong>5,71,35,804 </strong>1<sup>st</sup>dose beneficiaries and <strong>1,83,68,920 </strong>2<sup>nd</sup> dose beneficiaries of more than 60 years old.</p>

Out of which, <b><strong>78,643</strong></b> beneficiaries were vaccinated for 1st dose and <b><strong>56,048</strong></b> HCWs received 2nd dose of vaccine as per the provisional report. Final reports would be completed for the day by late tonight.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;"><b><strong>6,293 </strong></b>sessions were held till <b><strong>6 pm today</strong></b>.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>India’s Daily New  Cases continue to follow a consistent downward slope.</p>
<p>After reaching a high of 95,735 on 10<sup>th</sup> September 2020, they have dropped to <strong>8,635 </strong>today<strong>, lowest in 8 months.</strong></p>

<p>India’s average daily new cases also show a clear downward slip in the last 5 weeks. While it was 18,934 in the 30 Dec 2020 – 5 Jan 2021 period, the average daily new cases have reduced to 12,772 in the 27 Jan – 2 Feb 2021 timeline.</p>

<p>In another significant development, the country has reported less than 100 daily deaths in the last 24 hours, lowest in eight and half months. 100 deaths were recorded last on 15th May, 2020.</p>

<p>The average daily deaths in the last 5 weeks also show a similar downward slide. The average daily deaths in the 27 Jan – 2 Feb 2021 phase is 128, in contrast to 242 average daily deaths recorded in the 30 Dec 2020 – 5 Jan 2021 period.</p>

<p>The country’s active caseload has also shrunk further to<strong> 1.63 lakh (1,63,353) </strong>today.The present active caseload now consists of just <strong>1.52%</strong> of India’s Total Positive Cases.</p>
<p>India’s cumulative recoveries stand at 1.04cr <strong>(1,04,48,406</strong>) today. The Recovery Rate is <strong>97.05%.</strong></p>
<p>As on 2<sup>nd </sup>February, 2021, till 8 AM, total of <strong>39.50 lakh (39,50,156)</strong> beneficiaries have received the vaccination under the countrywide COVID19 vaccination exercise.</p>
<p>In the last 24 hours, <strong>1,91,313 </strong>healthcare workers were vaccinated across <strong>3,516</strong> sessions.</p>
<p><strong>72,731</strong> sessions have been conducted so far.</p>
<p>The number of beneficiaries being vaccinated every day has shown a progressive increase.</p>
<p><strong>13,423 </strong>patients have recovered and discharged in the last 24h ours.</p>
<p><strong>85.09%</strong> of the new recovered cases are observed to be concentrated in 10 States/UTs.</p>
<p>Kerala has reported the maximum number of single day recoveries with 5,215 newly recovered cases. 3,289 people recovered in Maharashtra in the past 24 hours followed by 520 in Chhattisgarh.</p>
<p><strong>80.10% of the daily new cases</strong> are from 6 States and UTs.</p>
<p>Kerala reports the highest daily new cases at 3,459. It is followed by Maharashtra with 1,948, while Tamil Nadu reported 502 new cases.</p>
<p>The Centre has rushed High Level teams to Kerala and Maharashtra for supporting the States in public health interventions for COVID19 management.</p>
<p><strong>94 fatalities</strong> have been recorded in the last 24 hours.</p>
<p>Five States/UTs account for <strong>65.96% </strong>of the daily deaths. Maharashtra saw the maximum casualties (27). Kerala follows with 17daily deaths and Tamil Nadu reported7 casualties.</p>
<p>Sixteen States/UTs have not reported any deaths in the last 24 hours</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>India’s active caseload has fallen to <strong>1.84</strong><strong> lakh (</strong><strong>1,84,182</strong><strong>) </strong>today. The share of Active Cases in the total Positive Cases has further shrunk to <strong>1.73</strong><strong>%.</strong></p>
<p><strong>A bulk of the active cases is contributed by merely two States. Kerala and Maharashtra alone account for more than 64.71% of the Total Active cases.</strong></p>
<p>Kerala accounts for 39.7% of the active cases whereas Maharashtra contributes 25% of the total active cases.</p>

<p>A net decline of <strong>226 </strong>cases has been recorded in the total active cases in last 24 hours. <strong>13,203</strong> new cases were added to the national tally in the last 24 hours. On the other hand, <strong>13,298</strong> recoveries were registered in the last 24 hours.</p>
<p><strong>131</strong> new deaths have been recorded in the last 24 hours. This is the lowest in 8 months.</p>

<p>India has conducted a total of <strong>19,23,37,117 </strong>tests till today.</p>
<p>21 States/UTs have better tests per million population than the national average (<strong>1,39,374).</strong></p>

<p>As on 25th January, 2021, till 8 AM, <strong>16,15,504</strong> beneficiaries have received the vaccination under the countrywide COVID19 vaccination exercise.</p>
<p>In the last 24 hours, <strong>33,303 </strong>people were vaccinated across 694 sessions. 28,614 sessions have been conducted so far.</p>
<p>The total recovered cases stand at 1.03 Cr (<strong>1,03,30,084) </strong>which translates to a Recovery Rate of <strong>96.83%. </strong>The gap between Recovered cases and Active cases continues to grow and presently stands at 1,01,45,902<strong>.</strong></p>
<p><strong>79.12</strong><strong>%</strong> of the new recovered cases are observed to be concentrated in 9 States/UTs.</p>
<p>Kerala has reported the maximum number of single day recoveries with 5,173 recoveries. Maharashtra follows with 1,743 new recoveries. Gujarat recorded another 704 daily recoveries.</p>
<p><strong>81.26</strong><strong>%</strong> of the new cases are concentrated in 6 States and UTs.</p>
<p>Kerala reported the maximum daily new cases numbering 6,036 in the last 24 hours. Maharashtra recorded 2,752 new cases while Karnataka has reported 573  new cases yesterday.</p>
<p>Seven States/UTs account for <strong>80.15</strong><strong>% of the </strong><strong>131</strong><strong>case fatalities</strong> reported in the past 24 hours.</p>
<p>Maharashtra has reported 45 deaths. Kerala and Delhi follow with 20 and 9 new deaths, respectively.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>India registered 18,732 fresh cases of COVID-19, the lowest in nearly six months, while 97,61,538 people have recuperated so far from the disease pushing the national recovery rate to 95.82 per cent, according to the Union Health Ministry data.</p>
<p>Daily new caseload<strong> dropped below 19,000 after 6 months. 18,732</strong> were added to the national tally in the last 24 hours. The new added cases were <strong>18,653</strong> on 1<sup>st</sup> July, 2020.</p>

<p>India’s total Active Caseload has fallen to <strong>2.78 lakh</strong> <strong>(2,78,690</strong>) today. This is the <strong>lowest after 170 days.</strong> The total active cases were <strong>2,76,682 on 10<sup>th</sup> July, 2020.</strong></p>
<p>The country has reported a trend of sustained decrease in the number of active cases. India’s present active caseload consists of just <strong>2.74% </strong>of India’s Total Positive Cases.</p>
<p><strong>21,430 </strong>cases recovered and discharged in the last 24 hours. This has led to a net decline of <strong>2,977 </strong>from the total active caseload.</p>

<p>The total recovered cases stand at <strong>97,61,538</strong>. The gap between Recovered Cases and Active Cases, that is steadily increasing, is nearing <strong>95 lakhs</strong> and presently stands at <strong>94,82,848</strong>.</p>
<p>The difference in the New Recoveries outnumbering New Cases has also improved the Recovery Rate to <strong>95.82% </strong>today. This difference is continuously growing as the recoveries outpace the daily new cases.</p>
<p><strong>72.37%</strong> of the new recovered cases are observed to be concentrated in 10 States/UTs.</p>
<p>Kerala has reported the maximum number of single day recoveries with 3,782 newly recovered cases. 1,861 people recovered in West Bengal followed by 1,764 in Chhattisgarh.</p>

<p><strong>76.52% of the new cases</strong> are concentrated in 10 States and UTs.</p>
<p>Kerala reported the highest daily new cases at 3,527. It is followed by Maharashtra with 2,854 new cases.</p>

<p><strong>279 </strong>case fatalities have been reported in the past 24 hours.</p>
<p>Ten States/UTs account for <strong>75.27% </strong>of new deaths.</p>
<p>Maharashtra saw the maximum casualties (60). West Bengal and Delhi follow with 33 and 23 daily deaths, respectively.</p>
<p>The Covid-19 covid dummy drive , aimed at testing India’s vaccine delivery system and other logistics is set to commence today. The dry run, the largest mass immunisation programme in the country’s history will be carried out in four states- Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Punjab, and Assam.</p>
<p>European countries including Italy, Germany and France  start a campaign Sunday as a growing list of countries in the continent have identified their first cases of new strain. Till December 25th, over 3,500 people have been infected from the virus variant, mostly in the UK, but steadily growing in France, Ireland, Israel, Hong Kong and Singapore.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The ongoing trend of contraction of India’s total active cases continues. The active caseload of the country stands at <strong>3,32,002</strong>. The share of Active Cases in the total Positive Cases has further shrunk to <strong>3.34</strong>%.</p>
<p>In the last 24 hours, only <strong>26,382 </strong>persons were found to be infected with COVID in India. In the same period, India also registered <strong>33,813</strong> new recoveries ensuring a net decline of <strong>7,818 </strong>cases in the Active Caseload.</p>
<p>India has recorded <strong>less than 40,000 daily new cases since the last 17 days.</strong></p>

<p>The new cases per million population in India in the last 7 days are one of the lowest in the world (<strong>147</strong>).</p>
<p>Total Recoveries have surpassed <strong>94.5 lakhs </strong>(<strong>9,456,449). </strong>The Recovery Rate has also increased to <strong>95.21%.</strong></p>
<p><strong>76.43%</strong> of the new recovered cases are observed to be concentrated in 10 States/UTs.</p>
<p>Kerala has reported the maximum number of single day recoveries with 5,066 newly recovered cases. 4,395 people recovered in Maharashtrain the past 24 hours followed by 2,965 inWest Bengal.</p>
<p><strong>75.84% of the new cases</strong> are from 10 States and UTs.</p>
<p>Kerala continues to report the highest daily new cases at 5,218. It is followed by Maharashtra and West Bengal with 3,442 and 2,289 new cases, respectively.</p>

<p><strong>387</strong>case fatalities have been reported in the past 24 hours.</p>
<p>Ten States/UTs account for <strong>75.19% </strong>of new deaths. Maharashtra saw the maximum casualties (70).West Bengal and Delhi follow with 45 and 41 daily deaths, respectively.</p>
<p>Briefing about the latest developments in plans and preparations for vaccination, the Health Secretary  RAJESH  BHUSHAN informed, all of the 36 states and UTs have concluded meetings of State Steering Committee as well as State Task Force. 633 districts have already concluded meetings of District Task Force.  Further, 23 Union Ministries and Departments under the Centre &amp; States have been identified and assigned roles with respect to planning, implementation, social mobilization, awareness generation etc., for the vaccine-roll out.</p>
<p>The Health Secretary informed that detailed instructions on Infection Prevention and Control Practices during vaccination have been issued in order to remain prepared to handle Adverse Events Following Immunization (AEFI) that may crop up post- vaccination. For this, states have been told to identify at least one AEFI Management Centre in each block. It can be a Primary Health Centre, Community Health Centre, District Hospital, private health facilities or any other fixed health facility with medical officers and para-medical staff. AEFI reporting will be done through Co-WIN. Every session sites will be linked to designated AEFI Management Centres, stated the Health Secretary.</p>
<p>The Health Secretary further informed:</p>
<ul>
<li>Training modules for medical officers, vaccinator officers/alternative vaccinator officers, cold chain handlers, supervisors, data managers, ASHA coordinators etc.  have been finalized.</li>
<li>Physical trainings as well as trainings on virtual/online platforms have started.</li>
<li>National and State Training of Trainers (ToTs) workshops have been completed.</li>
<li>Guidelines have been issued for estimation of electrical and non-electrical cold chain equipment and their strengthening.</li>
<li>Guidelines have been issued for management of cold chain at last cold chain points and session sites.</li>
</ul>
