It is noteworthy that RSP has implemented an array of measures to achieve the strategic goal of Zero Harm. The Steel Plant undertook a massive campaign under Project Nischay to conduct a comprehensive survey, create awareness and bridge the gaps to boost safety at workplace. The efforts helped the plant to record nil fatality days for the financial year 2024-25, the total nil fatality till date being 665 days. RSP recorded the Reportable Loss Time Frequency Rate (RLTFR) of 0.0165 in the Year 2024-25 which is not only best in SAIL but also better than the industry benchmark of 0.08.

Mr. Alok Verma, Director In-Charge (DIC), RSP with the additional charge of DIC, Durgapur Steel Plant and Burnpur Steel Plant congratulated collective over the achievement and has said, “Every person entering the Plant on duty deserves to work in a safe environment and return home to their families unharmed.  Safety is not a check box; it is a covenant.”
