KOVALA. Shri Sanjay Khanna, CMD, BPCL, addressed the 12th International Hydrogen & Fuel Cell Conference (IHFC–2025) held in Kovalam, Kerala, highlighting BPCL’s leadership in green hydrogen. BPCL was recognised as a leading green hydrogen producer, with the honour received by Bharat L. Newalkar, CGM (R&D), and Rahul Garg, Manager (R&D).

In his address, Shri Khanna outlined BPCL’s key initiatives, including the commissioning of its first 5 MW Green Hydrogen Plant at the Bina Refinery and progress in hydrogen mobility projects in Kochi. Oil India Signs Two Strategic MoUs with BPCL and NRL to Strengthen Energy Infrastructure

Oil India Limited (OIL) signed two significant MoUs with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) and Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) in the presence of Shri Pankaj Jain, Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. These partnerships mark a major step in OIL’s integrated growth strategy, reinforcing its commitment to advancing India’s refining, petrochemical, and logistics capabilities while promoting energy sustainability and self-reliance.

Under the first MoU, OIL and BPCL will collaborate on BPCL’s upcoming Greenfield Refinery and Petrochemical Complex near Ramayapatnam Port, Andhra Pradesh. The agreement includes exploring the possibility of OIL taking a minority equity stake in the project, which has already received key clearances and land allocation from the state government. The collaboration aims to leverage both companies’ strengths in refining and downstream operations, driving value creation and contributing to India’s energy security.

In the second MoU, OIL, BPCL, and NRL agreed to jointly develop a cross-country petroleum product pipeline from Siliguri to Mughalsarai via Muzaffarpur, along with depot infrastructure augmentation. With an investment of approximately ₹3,500 crore, the project will be jointly owned by BPCL (50%), OIL (25%), and NRL (25%). These initiatives reflect OIL’s strategic diversification into midstream and downstream sectors, aligned with the Government of India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat vision for a self-reliant and sustainable energy ecosystem.

ONGC के अध्यक्ष अरुण कुमार सिंह, जिनकी वर्तमान अवधि 6 दिसंबर 2025 को समाप्त हो रही है, को संभवतः दो साल का विस्तार मिल सकता है, यानी वे 2027 तक पद पर रहेंगे। यह कदम कंपनी के नेतृत्व में स्थिरता बनाए रखने के लिए है, खासकर जब कंपनी वैश्विक ऊर्जा चुनौतियों और रणनीतिक लक्ष्यों का सामना कर रही है। सिंह, जो पहले BPCL के CMD रह चुके हैं, को 2021 में ONGC का अध्यक्ष नियुक्त किया गया था, और उनका कार्यकाल बढ़ाने से कंपनी को निरंतरता और स्थिरता मिल सकेगी। अरुण कुमार सिंह के कार्यकाल विस्तार का प्रस्ताव कैबिनेट की नियुक्तियों की समिति (ACC) को भेजा गया है। अंतिम निर्णय इसी समिति द्वारा लिया जाएगा। सूत्रों के अनुसार, विस्तार एक या दो साल का हो सकता है, और सरकार सिंह को दिसंबर 2027 तक ONGC का नेतृत्व जारी रखने के पक्ष में है। यह कदम उस समय आया है जब पब्लिक एंटरप्राइजेज सिलेक्शन बोर्ड (PESB) ने इस साल 3 मार्च 2025 को चेयरमैन पद के लिए एक पद रिक्ति घोषित की थी, जिससे आगामी नियुक्ति प्रक्रिया की संभावना बनती है।
