										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>NEW DELHI.</strong> A high-level delegation from the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) met with the newly appointed Tourism Secretary, Mr. Bhuvnesh Kumar, in New Delhi on May 13. Led by Tourism Committee Chair Mr. Anil Parashar, the team presented an ambitious calendar of events for the 2026–27 period. The meeting focused on key growth areas, including heritage, spiritual, film, and wedding tourism. The Secretary was also briefed on &#8220;Aanch 2.0,&#8221; a nationwide competition designed to showcase the talents of young chefs and hospitality students across India.</p>
<p>During the discussion, the delegation formally invited the Secretary to two major upcoming events: the 3rd Global Spiritual Tourism Conclave in Shirdi this June and the 15th International Heritage Tourism Conclave in Hyderabad this July. Mr. Kumar praised PHDCCI’s proactive efforts to boost the tourism and hospitality sectors and assured the Ministry’s full support for these initiatives. This collaboration aims to strengthen India’s position as a premier global travel destination through strategic events and skill-building programs.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>NEW DELHI.</strong> Shri Sanjay Lohiya (IAS: AM-1994) has been appointed Special Secretary in the Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance. He will take over as Secretary in the department after the retirement of Shri Nagaraju Maddirala on May 31, 2026.</p>
<p>Shri Rohit Kansal (IAS: AGMUT-1996) has been appointed Secretary, Department of Rural Development. He will succeed Shri Shailesh Kumar Singh following his retirement on March 31, 2026.</p>
<p>Shri Bharat Harbanslal Khera (IAS: HP-1996) has been posted as Officer on Special Duty in the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in the rank of Secretary. He will take over as Secretary in the ministry after the superannuation of Shri Subhas Chandra Lal Das on April 30, 2026.</p>
<p>Shri Abhishek Singh (IAS: NL-1995), currently Director General of the National Informatics Centre, has been appointed Director General of the <strong>National Testing Agency under the Ministry of Education, in the rank of Secretary.</strong></p>
<p>Shri Bhuvnesh Kumar (IAS: UP-1995), CEO of the Unique Identification Authority of India, has been appointed Secretary, Ministry of Tourism. He will succeed Shri Srivatsa Krishna following his move to the Ministry of Minority Affairs.</p>
<p>In addition, the ACC has approved in-situ upgradation of two officers to the rank of Special Secretary.</p>
<p>Shri Sanjay Rastogi (IAS: OR-1991), Director General of the National Archives of India, has been granted Special Secretary rank in the same position.</p>
<p>Shri Sajjan Singh Yadav (IAS: AGMUT-1996), Additional Secretary in the Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance, has been elevated as Special Secretary in the same department.</p>
