Initially rolled out in Mumbai, BPCL plans to expand this modern, customer-first service to 100 additional cities across 24 states by 15 August 2026.

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has signed a long-term Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with The Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Limited (FACT) for the supply of Sulphuric Acid from its Kochi Refinery. Signed by Sujeet Jayarajan of BPCL and Jayanthan B of FACT, the agreement paves the way for establishing BPCL’s first Sulphuric Acid Plant. This landmark initiative makes BPCL one of the select few Indian refineries to produce Sulphuric Acid. The ceremony was held in the presence of BPCL CMD Sanjay Khanna, FACT CMD S. Sakthi Mani, and other senior leaders, reinforcing industrial synergy.

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has entered into a strategic joint venture with Shell Gas B.V. and Tiki Tar Industries (Baroda) Limited to strengthen its value-added bitumen portfolio and support India’s expanding infrastructure sector. The agreement was signed in the presence of BPCL Chairman and Managing Director Sanjay Khanna, Director (Marketing) Subhankar Sen, Shell Aviation President and TTSIPL Chairman Raman Ojha, and Tiki Tar Industries’ Rajendra Shah. The Joint Venture Agreement was signed on behalf of BPCL by Executive Director (Corporate Affairs) Debashis Naik. OIL and BPCL Sign JV Agreement for City Gas Distribution in Arunachal Pradesh

New Delhi: Oil India Limited (OIL) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) signed a Joint Venture Agreement (JVA) at BPCL’s Corporate Office to form a Joint Venture Company (JVC) for establishing a City Gas Distribution network in Arunachal Pradesh. The agreement was signed in the presence of Dr. Ranjit Rath, Chairman & Managing Director, OIL, and Shri Sanjay Khanna, Director (Refineries) with Additional Charge of CMD, BPCL. This company will undertake the City Gas Distribution (CGD) project in Arunachal Pradesh, awarded to the OIL- BPCL consortium during the 12th CGD Bid Round conducted by the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB).

The JVC will set up CNG stations and provide PNG connections to domestic, commercial, and industrial users, supporting the Government’s gas-based economy vision. Dr. Rath highlighted OIL’s commitment to clean energy in the region, citing its hydrocarbon legacy and the Kumchai-Kusijan gas pipeline commissioning as key milestones in advancing India’s hydrocarbon vision for the North-East.

Shri Sanjay Khanna, CMD of BPCL, remarked: “This Joint Venture reaffirms BPCL’s commitment to expanding clean energy access across India, with special focus on the North-East. Together with OIL, we will build a strong City Gas Distribution network to serve households, industries, and transport.
