WCL Earns Best PSU Partner Honour, Offers 150 Technical Internships Under PMIS

Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) has received the “Best PSU Partner” recognition under the PM Internship Scheme from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India. Mr. Bikram Ghosh, Director (Finance & HR), WCL, received the award from Dr. Pallavi Jain Govil, Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs.

WCL has been making significant efforts to support the scheme and create meaningful learning opportunities for young people, particularly those residing in interior coalfield regions. Through practical training and industry exposure, PMIS is helping youth develop employable skills without having to move far from their homes.

As part of this initiative, WCL is offering 150 technical internships, reinforcing its focus on empowering youth and expanding access to career-oriented training opportunities.

NTPC has been conferred the ‘Best PSU Partner’ award in recognition of its contribution to the Prime Minister Internship Scheme (PMIS) of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India. The award was presented by the Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, at a ceremony held in New Delhi on August 14, on the eve of the 80th Independence Day. The recognition acknowledges NTPC’s efforts in providing meaningful internship opportunities, industry exposure and workplace learning to young talent under PMIS, supporting the government’s vision of empowering youth and developing a future-ready workforce. The award was received by Rachana Singh Bhal, Executive Director (Strategic HR & Talent Management), along with senior NTPC officials.
