										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) has released the results of Annual Survey of Industries (ASI) for the reference periods April 2023 to March 2024 (i.e. financial year 2023-24) referred to as ASI 2023-24 in this press note. The field work for this survey was carried out during October 2024 to June 2025 for ASI 2023-24. A brief note about ASI 2023-24 is given at the Endnote.</p>
<p>Annual Survey of Industries is conducted with the primary objective to provide a meaningful insight into the dynamics of change in the composition, growth and structure of various manufacturing industries in terms of output, value added, employment, capital formation and a host of other parameters. It provides valuable input to the National Accounts Statistics at national and state level. The results are prepared at state and major industry level. ASI 2023-24 results along with write-up are available in the website of the Ministry (https://www.mospi.gov.in).</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Delegates and members of World Heritage Committee visited monuments in and around Delhi and enjoyed Indian cuisine. To make the stay of delegates memorable, Archaeological Survey of India facilitated visits. The visit included a designated day off for delegates to explore the surrounding area and experience local culture. The delegates were provided with an opportunity to explore the local region and engage with its cultural heritage. During their visit, the delegates were impressed by the site’s cultural and natural significance and acknowledged the conservation efforts made by Archaeological Survey of India. They commended the site’s management team for their dedication to preserving the site’s integrity and authenticity.</p>
<p>The World Heritage Committee declared 25 new World Heritage Properties to the World Heritage List after much deliberation. India is hosting the World Heritage Committee Meeting for the first time from 21st to 31st of July at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Union Minister for Culture &amp; Tourism (I/C) Shri Prahlad Singh Patel announced that Culture Ministry has approved opening of 820 centrally protected monuments under the Archeological Survey of India which have places of worship from 8th June, 2020. Shri Patel also said that all the protocols issued by the MHA and the Health ministry will be followed in these monuments.</p>

<p>In its order, Culture Ministry said that ASI shall ensure that preventive measures as stipulated in the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) issued by Ministry of Health &amp; Family Welfare, Govt. of India, on 4.6.2020 to contain the spread of COVID-19 in the religious places/places of worship are effectively put in place and scrupulously followed while opening and managing these Centrally Protected Monuments. ASI shall also further ensure that it follows all other directions issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of Health &amp; Family Welfare, Govt. of India in this regard.</p>
<p>Ministry of Culture also requested ASI to share the list of these 820 CPMs proposed to be opened on 8.6.2020 with respective States and the Districts concerned and that any state and/or district specific orders with regard to containment and prevention of spread of COVID- 19 are also comprehensively implemented.</p>
