Anjaw district on the Lohit river, will cost Rs.14,105.83 crore and take 78 months to complete.

The Kalai-II Hydro Electric Project will have an installed capacity of 1200 MW, split across six units of 190 MW each and one unit of 60 MW. Once operational, the plant is projected to produce 4,852.95 million units (MU) of electricity every year.

The Centre will provide ?599.88 crore as budgetary support for roads, bridges, and transmission line infrastructure. Additionally, a Central Financial Assistance of Rs 750 crore will go toward the state government’s equity share in the joint venture.

Arunachal Pradesh will receive 12% free power from the project. A further 1% of power will feed directly into the Local Area Development Fund, ensuring benefits reach surrounding communities.
