The 3-minute video features Amitabh Bachchan reciting the Sankrit shloka ‘Yaa Devi Sarva Bhuteshu, Shakti Roopena Samsthita, Namas Tasyai, Namas Tasyai, Namas Tasyai, Namo Namaha’ is a powerful verse from the Devi Mahatmyam, part of the Markandeya Purana. It is a hymn dedicated to Goddess Durga, celebrating her as the universal mother and the embodiment of divine energy. The shloka is a reverent acknowledgment of the goddess’s omnipresence and her role as the source of all energy and vitality in the universe.

This teaser video is enhanced by an evocative musical score, composed by the talented duo Rohan-Vinayak, with Jarvis lending his expertise as recordist. This spiritual rendition is not is a celebration of strength, tradition, and beauty—values central to the Kalyanaraman family.

Amitabh Bachchan is the latest to join the #KalyanNavratri festivities, after the conclusion of a star-studded evening at the Kalyanaraman residence. आनंद पंडित ने आगे कहा- इस फिल्म को हम सिनेमाघरों में रिलीज करने की सोच रहे हैं. यह बड़े पर्दे के लिए बनी फिल्म है. साथ ही हमको सिनेमाघरों के मालिकों और डिस्ट्रीब्यूटर के सपोर्ट की जरुरत है. वह इंडस्ट्री के लोगों को काम देते है. आशा करते हैं हम चेहरे को इस साल के सेकेंड हाफ में फिल्म को रिलीज करेंगे.

Mr Bachchan, who loves to blog on social media, also shared a few thoughts on the “essence” of age-old traditions, such as raksha bandhan: “Our ‘samaaj’ does possess centuries old traditions that make us all valuable… in the essence of behavioural convictions such convictions that can never be betrayed or dissolved… they are the crafted genius of writings on stone… forever.”

Abhishek Bachchan, who was also admitted to Mumbai’s Nanavati Hospital the same day as Big B, continues to remain there as he still has the coronavirus. “I, unfortunately due to some co-morbidities, remain COVID-19 positive and remain in hospital,” he tweeted.

In June, Amitabh Bachchan’s Gulabo Sitabo released on OTT platform Amazon Prime, making it Big B’s first ever digital release. Amitabh Bachchan’s line-up of films now includes Brahmastra, Jhund and Chehre. Mr Bachchan will also return as the host of Kaun Banega Crorepati for the upcoming season.

Expressing his thoughts in his blog Amitabh wrote, “… they go home the little one and Bahurani .. and the tears flow out .. the little one embraces and tells me not to cry ..’you’ll be home soon’ she assures .. I must believe her.”

The 77-year-old went on to talk about how he constantly thinks of documenting his thoughts and added, “let them hear see and read the other side of the coin.”

Amitabh has also written a note to the anonymous trolls who have been wishing his ill health. Sharing one such instance, he wrote, “they write to tell me … “I hope you die with this Covid.”

In an open letter to all such trolls, he wrote, “Hey Mr Anonymous .. you do not even write your Father’s name ,.. because you do not know who Fathered you .. there are only two things that can happen .. either I shall die or either I shall live .. if I die you wont get to write your diatribe anymore, by weathering your remark on a celebrity name .. pity .. for , the reason of your writing to be noticed was, because you took a swipe at Amitabh Bachchan .. that shall no longer exist .. !!”

Talking about the force of his fans, he added, “if by God’s grace I live and survive you shall have to be ‘weathering’ the ‘swipe’ storm , not just from me , but on a very conservative level, from 90+ million followers .. Amitabh and Abhishek will continue to recuperate at the Nanavati hospital while Aishwarya and Aaradhya are back home. Abhishek had informed on Twitter on Monday, “Thank you all for your continued prayers and good wishes. Indebted forever. Aishwarya and Aaradhya have thankfully tested negative and have been discharged from the hospital. They will now be at home. My father and I remain in hospital under the care of the medical staff.”

Meanwhile, Amitabh Bachchan and his actor-son Abhishek are recuperating in an isolation ward in the same hospital. On Saturday, Amitabh Bachchan tested positive for coronavirus and was admitted to Mumbai’s Nanavati hospital with mild symptoms.

The actor took to Twitter to share the news with his fans. He wrote, “I have tested CoviD positive .. shifted to Hospital .. hospital informing authorities .. family and staff undergone tests , results awaited .. All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested!”

Earlier, informing everyone about Aishwarya and Aaradhya being coronavirus positive, Abhishek Bachchan had tweeted, “Aishwarya and Aaradhya have also tested COVID-19 positive. They will be self quarantining at home. The BMC has been updated of their situation and are doing the needful.The rest of the family including my Mother have tested negative. Thank you all for your wishes and prayers”.

Amitabh also shared a note for healthcare workers on his social media handles on Tuesday. The actor tweeted: “Pristine white their layered dress, dedicated to serve they be, god like incarnations they, companions of the sufferer they, erased they their ego have, to us they have embraced in care, they be the divine destination, they fly the flags of humanity.” Amitabh Bachchan along with his actor son Abhishek Bachchan, tested positive for the coronavirus on Saturday and they were hospitalised. Both Amitabh Bachchan, 77, and his son Abhishek, 44, were admitted to Nanavati hospital on Saturday after testing positive for Covid-19. They have undergone rapid antigen testing, Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope said on Saturday.

“Both Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan underwent Antigen test and they have tested positive for COVID-19. Other family members including Jaya Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan were also tested and their results will come tomorrow (Sunday),” he said.

“As Bachchan ji has specifically said in his tweet that all people who came in contact with him past five to seven days should get tested and quarantine themselves. I pray to god that Amitabh Bachchan Ji recovers from this soon,” he added.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan and Union Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri wished the actor a speedy recovery.

The two principal characters of the delightfully askew Gulabo Sitabo are always at loggerheads, but the trait that they share – a selfish love for the crumbling Fatima Mahal, a mansion going to seed rather rapidly – constitutes the spine of the story.

The spare, unshowy treatment of the central conflict, which, as the film progresses, creates room for two other key players with their won sets of vested interests, might appear to be at variance with the comedic spirit of the plot.

With the actors giving the film their all – Amitabh Bachchan’s wizened, hunchbacked, curmudgeonly act is the main propellant – Gulabo Sitabo works even when not much seems to be happening on the screen or the characters are beating about the bush.

The best thing about Gulabo Sitabo, scripted by Juhi Chaturvedi, is that it isn’t trying to be a scream. The humour springs from the language and the manner of its delivery. It won’t have you rolling on the floor. But it will elicit mild chuckles every time Mirza (Bachchan) and Baankey Rastogi (Ayushmann Khurrana) have a go at each other over petty matters that slowly snowball out of control.

Mirza and Baankey won’t cede an inch to each other, but fate has a way of asserting itself. In Mirza’s case, it is represented by his Begum (Farrukh Jafar), who is a decade-and-a-half older than him but is no pushover. For Baankey, who owns an atta chakki in town, destiny takes the form of a few bricks in a wall that give way when he directs a kick at it in the exasperation triggered by a fellow tenant who takes longer than usual in the toilet.
