चेहरे के प्रोड्यूसर आनंद पंडित ने बताया है कि चेहरे ओटीटी प्लेटफॉर्म या सिनेमाघरों में से कहा रिलीज होगी. उन्होंने कहा- ट्रेलर को ऑडियन्स का बहुत अच्छा रिस्पॉन्स मिला है. हम बहुत दुखी हैं कि कोरोना की दूसरी लहर की वजह से इसे रिलीज नहीं कर पाए.

आनंद पंडित ने आगे कहा- इस फिल्म को हम सिनेमाघरों में रिलीज करने की सोच रहे हैं. यह बड़े पर्दे के लिए बनी फिल्म है. साथ ही हमको सिनेमाघरों के मालिकों और डिस्ट्रीब्यूटर के सपोर्ट की जरुरत है. वह इंडस्ट्री के लोगों को काम देते है. आशा करते हैं हम चेहरे को इस साल के सेकेंड हाफ में फिल्म को रिलीज करेंगे.

Amitabh has also written a note to the anonymous trolls who have been wishing his ill health. Sharing one such instance, he wrote, “they write to tell me … “I hope you die with this Covid.”

In an open letter to all such trolls, he wrote, “Hey Mr Anonymous .. you do not even write your Father’s name ,.. because you do not know who Fathered you .. there are only two things that can happen .. either I shall die or either I shall live .. if I die you wont get to write your diatribe anymore, by weathering your remark on a celebrity name .. pity .. for , the reason of your writing to be noticed was, because you took a swipe at Amitabh Bachchan .. that shall no longer exist .. !!”

Talking about the force of his fans, he added, “if by God’s grace I live and survive you shall have to be ‘weathering’ the ‘swipe’ storm , not just from me , but on a very conservative level, from 90+ million followers .. Amitabh and Abhishek will continue to recuperate at the Nanavati hospital while Aishwarya and Aaradhya are back home. Abhishek had informed on Twitter on Monday, “Thank you all for your continued prayers and good wishes. Indebted forever. Aishwarya and Aaradhya have thankfully tested negative and have been discharged from the hospital. They will now be at home. My father and I remain in hospital under the care of the medical staff.”

The actor took to Twitter to share the news with his fans. He wrote, “I have tested CoviD positive .. shifted to Hospital .. hospital informing authorities .. family and staff undergone tests , results awaited .. All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested!”

Earlier, informing everyone about Aishwarya and Aaradhya being coronavirus positive, Abhishek Bachchan had tweeted, “Aishwarya and Aaradhya have also tested COVID-19 positive. They will be self quarantining at home. The BMC has been updated of their situation and are doing the needful.The rest of the family including my Mother have tested negative. Thank you all for your wishes and prayers”.

Amitabh also shared a note for healthcare workers on his social media handles on Tuesday. Both Amitabh Bachchan, 77, and his son Abhishek, 44, were admitted to Nanavati hospital on Saturday after testing positive for Covid-19. They have undergone rapid antigen testing, Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope said on Saturday.

“Both Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan underwent Antigen test and they have tested positive for COVID-19. Other family members including Jaya Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan were also tested and their results will come tomorrow (Sunday),” he said.

“As Bachchan ji has specifically said in his tweet that all people who came in contact with him past five to seven days should get tested and quarantine themselves. I pray to god that Amitabh Bachchan Ji recovers from this soon,” he added.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan and Union Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri wished the actor a speedy recovery.

The two principal characters of the delightfully askew Gulabo Sitabo are always at loggerheads, but the trait that they share – a selfish love for the crumbling Fatima Mahal, a mansion going to seed rather rapidly – constitutes the spine of the story.

The spare, unshowy treatment of the central conflict, which, as the film progresses, creates room for two other key players with their won sets of vested interests, might appear to be at variance with the comedic spirit of the plot.

With the actors giving the film their all – Amitabh Bachchan’s wizened, hunchbacked, curmudgeonly act is the main propellant – Gulabo Sitabo works even when not much seems to be happening on the screen or the characters are beating about the bush.

The best thing about Gulabo Sitabo, scripted by Juhi Chaturvedi, is that it isn’t trying to be a scream. The humour springs from the language and the manner of its delivery. It won’t have you rolling on the floor. But it will elicit mild chuckles every time Mirza (Bachchan) and Baankey Rastogi (Ayushmann Khurrana) have a go at each other over petty matters that slowly snowball out of control.

Mirza and Baankey won’t cede an inch to each other, but fate has a way of asserting itself. In Mirza’s case, it is represented by his Begum (Farrukh Jafar), who is a decade-and-a-half older than him but is no pushover. For Baankey, who owns an atta chakki in town, destiny takes the form of a few bricks in a wall that give way when he directs a kick at it in the exasperation triggered by a fellow tenant who takes longer than usual in the toilet.

Over the past two months, the veteran actor has been distributing food kits among the needy in Mumbai. Recently, he arranged the transport of over 200 people stuck in the city. Mr Bachchan chartered three flights to take over 500 migrant workers to their hometown Varanasi.

A source revealed, “Everything is being done with utmost discretion as Bachchanji doesn’t want it to be publicised. He was moved by the plight of the migrant workers and decided to help them. He has chartered the Indigo Airlines’ Varanasi-bound flight that is scheduled to depart on Wednesday morning. The 180 migrants scheduled to travel on the morning flight have been asked to report to the airport at 6 am. The initial plan was to send them home by train, but the logistics didn’t work out.”

Two more chartered aircrafts were scheduled for later in the day. As part of the endeavour, in the coming days, the actor will also arrange air tickets for those headed to West Bengal, Bihar, Tamil Nadu and other states.

It was previously reported that a week back, Bachchan had also arranged for 10 buses to help migrants reach their native places in Uttar Pradesh, the state that the actor hails from. In addition to this, since the coronavirus lockdown, he has also supported the families of 1,00,000 daily wage workers belonging to the All India Film Employees Confederation by sponsoring their monthly ration.

Meanwhile Islamic Centre of India has announced that it will live stream the recitation of Holy Quran during the month of Ramzan.

The Islamic Centre of India will do a Facebook live stream every day during Ramzan from 8 pm to 10 pm on its page facebook.com/islamiccentreofindia, which can be accessed by anyone across the globe during lockdown.

Clerics and religious leaders have already urged and issued various appeals to people to pray inside their houses and follow lockdown guidelines during Ramzan.

The Facebook Live of Recitation of verses from the Holy Quran will start from April 25, said Chief of All India Islamic Centre, Maulana Khalid Rasheed Farangi Mahali.

“As the lockdown is in progress and social distancing norms are also being practised, the All India Islamic Centre will be live streaming the recitation of Holy Quran. Every day two paras (chapters) will be recited from 8pm to 10pm.”

“People should perform wazu and listen to it with their family members, after this they should perform 20 ratkaats of Namaaz-e-Tarweeh. I know it is important for Muslims to pray to Allah during the month of Ramzan, but keeping in mind the prevailing conditions, this is the best way to pray to Allah and keep everyone safe,” he said.

“There should be no Roza Iftaar parties at all, instead that money should be utilised for food and ration for the poor people. Also people should avoid sending loads of Iftaari to the mosques, they should only send Iftaari for four or five people who are in the mosque. People should pray especially to end this pandemic,” added Maulana Mahali.

A similar appeal was also issued by Shia cleric Maulana Saif Abbas asking people to abide by the lockdown guidelines during these tough times.

“The coronavirus pandemic has affected more than 200 countries till now. The holy month of Ramzan is coming but one should abide by the lockdown norms. It will be better for us to abide by what is suggested by doctors and authorities. We should follow all the lockdown norms as it is in favour of us and our families.”
