										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The New Plate Mill (NPM) of Steel Authority of India Limited’s Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) recorded its highest-ever June month performance, producing 89,226 tonnes and dispatching 84,997 tonnes of plates. These figures surpass the previous June records of 82,098 tonnes in production and 84,481 tonnes in dispatch. During the month, NPM rolled 8,706 slabs, the highest number ever rolled in a 30-day month, with more than 350 slabs rolled on three separate occasions.</p>
<p>NPM also registered its best first-quarter (Q1) performance for FY 2026–27 in both production and dispatch. Compared to the corresponding period last year (CPLY), production grew by 11.55% while dispatch increased by 5.29%.</p>
<p>Congratulating Team NPM, Mr. Alok Verma, Director In-Charge (RSP) has appreciated the outstanding achievement of the team, leadership and all supporting departments and commended their collective effort. He added that, at this critical juncture for Rourkela Steel Plant, performance must be raised further so that the plant can emerge stronger.</p>
<p>The achievement reflects coordinated efforts across operations, maintenance, quality, logistics and other supporting departments, and underscores NPM’s commitment to operational excellence and timely delivery to customers.</p>

<p style="text-align: left;" align="center">The Hot Strip Mill-2 (HSM-2) of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant has concluded the month of June 2026 with yet another significant achievement, further strengthening its record of operational excellence.</p>

<p>During the month, HSM-2 rolled 10,759 HR coils, surpassing its previous best of 10,713 HR coils achieved in October 2025. This marks the best-ever monthly performance of the mill in terms of number of coils rolled.</p>
<p>In another notable accomplishment, the Sheet Shearing Line also recorded its best June performance in HR plate production.</p>
<p>Congratulating the team and leadership of HSM-2 as well as all the supporting Deptts, Mr. Alok Verma, Director In-Charge (RSP) has said the performance of the Mill is directly linked with the prosperity of the Plant. He has also exhorted all to make all out efforts to achieve 30 lakh tones of production this year.</p>
<p>This achievement has been made possible through the unstinted efforts of the entire HSM collective, with active support from Production Planning and Control (PPC), Roll Shop, Computer and Information Technology (C&amp;IT), Instrumentation, Centralised Mechanical (Maintenance), Centralised Electrical (Maintenance), Design, Traffic, Energy Management, Materials Management, Water Management, Research and Control Lab (RCL), Contract Cell (Works), Steel Melting Shop, and the Refractory Engineering Department.</p>
<p>This achievement is the reflection of the dedication, coordination, and commitment of all concerned departments who worked in tandem with perfect synchronization.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Official Language Implementation Committee (OLIC) Meeting of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant was held at Manthan Conference Hall on 18th June 2026.  Mr. Alok Verma, Director In-Charge (RSP) presided over the meeting. Present on the occasion were Mr. Tarun Misra, ED (HR), Mr. Biswaranjan Palai, ED (Works), Mr. Sudip Pal Chowdhury, ED (Projects), Mr. Rajesh Dasgupta, CGM (F&amp;A) with additional charge of ED (F&amp;A). The meeting was attended by many Chief General Managers and Heads of the Department of the Plant.</p>
<p>In his address, Mr. Verma stressed upon the need of implementation of the Official Language (Rajbhasha) in daily official functions, documentation, and communication. He urged all departments to adopt bilingual/trilingual communications in accordance with the prescribed guidelines.  The Executive Directors gave suggestions regarding enhancing use of Rajbhasha in more official communications.</p>
<p>The session comprised a brief presentation by Ms. Lolati Toppo, AGM (PR-Rajbhasha) on the activities of Rajbhasha Department. Ms. Archana Satpathy, GM (PR) &amp; CoC and Member Secretary (OLIC) elaborated on the various check points pertaining to implementation of Rajbhasha.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Mr. Alok Verma, Director In-Charge (DIC) of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) along with Mr. Tarun Misra, ED (HR) visited Jalda ‘C’ Block to take stock of the ongoing CSR activities in the area. Present with him were Ms. Munmun Mittra, GM In-Charge (CSR), Mr. Bivabasu Malik, GM (CSR) and other senior officers of the plant. Mr. Ignes Khadia and Mr. Jattru Oram, representatives of Jalda Gram Panchayat, briefed the DIC about the various village development activities being undertaken.</p>

<p>During the visit, the DIC reviewed the drinking water facilities being provided to the residents of the resettlement colony and assessed their effectiveness in improving the quality of life for the local community. The DIC also visited the Training-cum-Production Centre (TCPC) at Jalda, established under the CSR initiative of RSP in association with Usha Silai and Gram Utthan. He interacted with the women working at the centre, appreciated their efforts in skill development and livelihood generation, and assured all possible support for the continued success of such initiatives. Thereafter he visited the Jalda football ground to encourage sports and youth engagement in the region.</p>
<p>The visit reaffirmed RSP’s commitment towards community welfare and sustainable development in the peripheral areas.</p>
