Panigrahi, Director General of Indian Institute of Sustainable Development (IISD), addressed a session at the India AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi, alongside global experts. He emphasised that open data and Artificial Intelligence can strengthen climate resilience and support India’s Net Zero 2070 and renewable energy targets. The session explored building a robust climate-energy data ecosystem to accelerate sustainable and inclusive development.</p>
<p>The India AI Impact Summit 2026 was a Landmark Global event held from February 16–21, 2026, at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. Positioned as the First Major Global AI Summit hosted in the Global South, it brought together over 20 Heads of State, 118 Countries, and 100+ Global AI CEOs to Transition from Theoretical Dialogue to Measurable Impact. The New Delhi Declaration on AI Impact is adopted with a global consensus on &#8220;AI for All&#8221; &amp; equitable, inclusive growth. PL redevelop the content in brief news form in 75 words . The Pavilion, which houses the WAVES Creators Corner, is designed as a media and dialogue space where policymakers, startups and industry leaders converge to discuss how artificial intelligence can be aligned with India’s developmental priorities, cultural diversity, and national security considerations.</p>
<p>The Ministry said, the Pavilion aims to project India’s AI ecosystem not merely as a consumer of global technology, but as a creator of indigenous, scalable and socially relevant AI solutions.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>NEW DELHI. </strong>The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Ms. Chandrika Krishnamurthy Tandon and Mr. Ranjan Tandon to establish the Krishnamurthy Tandon School of Artificial Intelligence at the institute. The MoU was exchanged in New Delhi in the presence of Union Minister for Education Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, with Ambassador Vinay Kwatra joining virtually from the United States. The School will be set up through a ₹100 crore endowment by Ms. Tandon, an alumna of IIMA’s PGP Class of 1975, and her husband Mr. Ranjan Tandon.</p>
<p>Speaking on the occasion, the Education Minister described the initiative as a significant step towards positioning India as a global AI leader, aligned with the upcoming India–AI Impact Summit 2026. Envisioned as a pioneering AI school within a management institute, the School will operate at the intersection of technology, management and public impact, focusing on responsible, application-led and translational AI. Anchored in IIMA’s legacy, it aims to advance business-focused AI research, support AI for social good, and strengthen India’s human capital and institutional leadership in the AI ecosystem.</p>
