A retired Indian Administrative Service officer, Kapoor was initially appointed to the key advisory role in June 2024. This latest extension ensures his continued service in the Prime Minister’s Office for an additional year, with his new tenure officially taking effect from June 10, 2026.

A senior Indian Forest Service officer from the 2002 batch (AGMUT Cadre), Dr. G Trinadh Kumar brings over two decades of extensive administrative and technical experience in forestry, environment, wildlife management, biodiversity conservation and natural resource management.
