										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Shri Narendra Nath Misra, former Director (Operations) of NTPC Ltd, has been appointed as a Non-Executive Independent Director of Adani Power effective December 4, 2025, for a three-year term. A distinguished power sector professional, Misra began his career with NTPC in 1977 as an Executive Trainee after graduating with honors in Electrical Engineering from REC Rourkela. With extensive experience across design, engineering, procurement, HR, and operations, he played a key role in commissioning India’s first 765 kV substation at NTPC Sipat. He has also contributed to BIS through the Electro-Technical Division Council and represented India at CIGRE, actively participating in its study committees and working groups. Misra currently serves on the boards of several power generation and distribution companies.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><b>Bengaluru, 11 August 2025:</b> Larsen &amp; Toubro (L&amp;T) has secured an ultra-mega contract from Adani Power Ltd to set up eight state-of-the-art thermal power units, each with a capacity of 800 MW, totaling 6,400 MW of new generation capacity. The order will be executed by L&amp;T Energy – CarbonLite Solutions (LTECLS), the company’s specialized business vertical for advanced power and low-carbon technologies.</p>
<p>The scope of work encompasses the complete design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, and commissioning of Boiler-Turbine-Generator (BTG) packages, along with auxiliaries and associated mechanical, electrical and control &amp; instrumentation (C&amp;I) systems.</p>
<p><b>Mr. Subramanian Sarma, Deputy Managing Director &amp; President, L&amp;T</b>, added: “In today’s dynamic energy landscape, where India’s demand for reliable and affordable power continues to grow, this order from the Adani Group reinforces our role as a leading partner in building the country’s critical energy infrastructure”.</p>
