Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission Crosses Landmark Milestone Of 90 Crore ABHAs

NEW DELHI. The Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), implemented by the National Health Authority (NHA), has achieved a major milestone with the creation of over 90 crore Ayushman Bharat Health Accounts (ABHAs) across the country. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said the achievement marks significant progress in building a connected, interoperable and citizen-centric digital health ecosystem. ABHA creation has grown from over 14 crore accounts in 2021 to 90 crore in 2025, driven by strong participation from States and Union Territories. Uttar Pradesh leads with more than 15 crore ABHAs, followed by Rajasthan and Maharashtra with over 7 crore each. The Ministry also highlighted that women account for nearly 49.75 per cent of total ABHA holders, reflecting growing inclusivity in the digital health ecosystem. ABHA enables citizens to digitally link and securely access health records across healthcare facilities, reducing dependence on physical documents while ensuring seamless, consent-based sharing of medical information, thereby improving efficiency, transparency and continuity of care.

Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya to inaugurate Swasthya Chintan Shivir at Dehradun, Uttarakhand

Union Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya will inaugurate the Swasthya Chintan Shivir today at Dehradun in Uttarakhand. The two-day Chintan Shivir will be organised by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare along with the Central Council of Health and Family Welfare. The Health Ministers of various States and Union Territories are expected to join the event. The two-day event will begin with the tabling of the Action Taken Report of the 14th Convention of the Central Council of Health and Family Welfare. It will be followed by sessions focusing on various facets of healthcare in the country.

The sessions will highlight four aspects of Ayushman Bharat, including Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY), Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), Health and Wellness Centres as well as Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission(PM-ABHIM). The thematic sessions will also focus on the National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme, the elimination of measles, rubella, and the implementation of the Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques- PCPNDT Act in India.
