The Seema Jagran Manch honoured Dr. Shankar Goenka of Manav Mandir Gurukul for outstanding contribution in supporting children’s from marginalized communities at the Manthan Conclave just concluded in New Delhi recently, which aimed to enhance coordination between NGOs and the corporate sector in border regions. Over 400 delegates attended, including senior officials, bureaucrats, and NGO representatives.
Manav Mandir Gurukul, part of Manav Mandir Mission Trust, offers educational and medical support, counselling, and essential supplies to children from marginalized communities. It operates three centres in Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand, and supports numerous students from poor families. 10000 plus children came and nurtured out of Ashram.
The Trust has also established centres in Delhi’s Majnu Ka Tila and Signature Bridge camps, providing remedial classes, vocational training, and livelihood programs to Pakistani Hindu refugees, about 500 families.
