The signing ceremony was graced by Sh. Vivek Kumar Dewangan, CMD – REC, and Sh. Koppu Sadashiv Murthy, CMD – BHEL along with Sh. V K Singh, Director (Projects) – REC; Sh. Rajesh Kumar, CEO – RECPDCL and Smt. Bani Varma, Director (IS&P) – BHEL.
The MoU will facilitate joint development of utility scale Renewable Energy Projects across the country thereby contributing to the clean energy targets of the nation through a dedicated special purpose vehicle.
The SPV will be benefitted by the core engineering expertise of BHEL and infrastructure investment expertise of REC Ltd. The SPV will cater to the energy requirement of the C&I segment with initial capacity of 1 GW which would be scaled up further.
