REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), a part of REC Limited, handed over two special project companies for the Khavda Phase-IV power transmission projects in Gujarat. The Khavda IV A Power Transmission Limited was given to Adani Energy Solutions Limited, and Khavda IV C Power Transmission Limited was given to Sterlite Grid 38 Limited. These projects are designed to carry 7 GW of power from the Khavda renewable energy zone and were awarded through a competitive bidding process. They are expected to be completed within 24 months.
