REC extends CSR support of Rs 20 Crore for the Welfare of Children of Ex-Servicemen and War Widows

REC Limited has contributed Rs 20 crore through its CSR arm, REC Foundation, to the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund (AFFDF). The grant will support the education of 16,667 children of ex-servicemen, martyrs, and war widows from the Army, Navy, and Air Force.

The contribution was formalised through a MOA between Shri Pradeep Fellows, Executive Director (CSR), REC Limited, and Brigadier D.S. Basera, Secretary, Kendriya Sainik Board, in New Delhi.

In the past two financial years, REC Foundation has extended ?30 crore in support to the AFFDF. This initiative reiterates REC’s long-standing commitment to nation-building and social equity through meaningful CSR initiatives.
