A 3-day capacity building workshop of Rashtriya Karmayogi Large Scale Jan Seva Program for Master Trainers was held at SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) from 26th to 28th August, 2025. Mr. Anil Kumar, ED (Materials Management) presided over the concluding session of the workshop. Mr. P K Sahoo, CGM (HR-L&D) was also present on the dais. The Senior Officers interacted with the participants and received their feedback.
Notably, executives from different departments of the plant were trained as Master Trainers who in turn would train employees of respective areas as part of the initiative.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Kumar highlighted the importance of the Rashtriya Karmayogi initiative in building a responsive, efficient, and citizen-centric workforce. He urged the newly trained Master Trainers to act as catalysts of transformation by imbibing the spirit of continuous learning, teamwork, and service delivery excellence.
Earlier, Mr. Sahoo underlined the key objectives of the workshop and encouraged the participants to carry forward the learnings with commitment and enthusiasm. He reiterated that the success of this large-scale initiative rests on the active role of Master Trainers in cascading the training to the grassroots level.
Mr. J N Hembram, GM (CHRD), MTI and Mr. R Biswas, DGM (KIOM) were the faculties of the program.
It is noteworthy that the program adopted interactive learning methods using the Pedgog app that are closely aligned with the context of employees’ work. The sessions featured situational exercises where participants collectively deliberated on ways to improve their functioning and embrace the Karmayogi way of working. A detailed team design exercise was also conducted, enabling participants to reflect on their current roles, assess their contributions within their sections, and understand how their efforts align with organizational objectives as well as the larger goals of national development. The master trainers will conduct 1 day workshop for rest of the employees of RSP & OGOM as end participants.
