PVUNL, a subsidiary of NTPC Ltd, has achieved a key milestone with the successful charging of the 400 KV Double Circuit Patratu–Katia transmission line, marking the commissioning of its first Associated Transmission System (ATS). Each of the two Quad Moose circuits has a capacity of 1700 MW, playing a crucial role in power evacuation and expediting the Commercial Operation Date (COD) of Unit-1. The line was charged at 17:45 hrs in the presence of Shri Ashok Kumar Sehgal, CEO (PVUNL), Shri Anupam Mukherjee, CGM (Project), senior officials of PVUNL and representatives from JUSNL at the Katia Substation.
To commemorate the event, Shri Sehgal celebrated with the team, expressing appreciation to MD (JUSNL) and extending an invitation to the upcoming Unit-1 synchronization. PVUNL acknowledged the tireless efforts of its former CEOs, team members, and the support of ERLDC, ERPC, SLDC, and JUSNL, recognising their significant contributions to this achievement.
