POWERGRID organized a talk on ‘Corporate Governance, Business Ethics & Preventive Vigilance in PSUs’ on October 16, 2023, in preparation for Vigilance Awareness Week (VAW) – 2023. Esteemed guest speakers, Sh. P. Daniel, Secretary of the Central Vigilance Commission, and Sh. M. Damodaran, Ex-Chairman of SEBI, shared their insights.
Sh. P. Daniel provided an overview of the Central Vigilance Commission’s jurisdiction and emphasized the importance of Preventive Vigilance measures and ethical conduct in government organizations. He commended POWERGRID for its efforts related to the PIDPI resolution and anti-corruption campaigns.
Sh. M. Damodaran discussed the roles and responsibilities of Independent Directors, internal auditors, management, and board members in creating a corruption-free corporate governance environment. Sh. D. K. Madan, CVO of POWERGRID, highlighted the company’s efforts in leveraging technology to combat corruption, promoting PIDPI resolution, and capacity building.
The event was attended by POWERGRID board members, Executive Directors, corporate center employees, and joined online by officials and employees from all regions of POWERGRID.
