The Power lifters of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) delivered an outstanding performance at the Sub Junior, Junior National Powerlifting and National Deadlift Championship 2025, held at Maa Aadhya Shakti Dham, Sector 16, Rohini, New Delhi, from 30th May to 1st June, 2025.
Rohit Raj Bhatta claimed double gold medals in the junior 83 kg category and 83 kg Deadlift category, lifting 212.5 kg, 107.5 kg and 250 kg dead lift.
In the Sub- Junior 66 kg category, Vikram Kumar Singh mirrored this feat, winning gold in both powerlifting and deadlifting with lifts of 165 kg, 107 kg and 190 kg deadlift.
Deepak Kumar Sethi brought further glory to RSP with silver medal in the 83 kg deadlift lifting 205 kg.
It is noteworthy that the athletes have been imparted training at the sporting facility of RSP under the watchful eyes of the competent coach.
