NTPC Ltd has announced the permanent discontinuation of operations at its 110 MW Tanda Thermal Power Station, Stage-I, effective from September 1, 2025. The decision follows approval from the Central Electricity Authority (CEA). The power station, which consists of four units of 110 MW each, will cease operations as part of the company’s strategic adjustments. This move reflects NTPC’s ongoing efforts to optimize its energy portfolio and transition towards more sustainable energy sources. The announcement was made through an official exchange filing confirming the closure of the station with the necessary regulatory approval.
