NTPC Bongaigaon in Assam has been honoured with the 11th CSR India Award 2025 in the category of Healthcare Promotion and the 24th Global Environment & Sustainability Award 2025 for outstanding achievements in Environment Protection by the Greentech Foundation.
These recognitions highlight the power station’s commitment to inclusive community development and environmental stewardship. The awards were handed over by Shri Arnab Maitra, Head of Project, NTPC Bongaigaon in the presence of senior officials.
The CSR award acknowledges its impactful contribution to strengthening healthcare systems in Tuensang district of Nagaland—one of the most remote parts in the North-East. Through its comprehensive healthcare project, NTPC Bongaigaon has supported the development of health infrastructure, supply of essential medical equipment, and outreach programs to enhance access to primary and preventive healthcare for local communities. The Environment & Sustainability Award further underlines NTPC Bongaigaon’s consistent efforts towards sustainable operations and environmental protection, demonstrating best practices in ecological conservation and responsible resource management.
