As part of its flagship Girl Empowerment Mission (GEM) 2025, NTPC Bongaigaon organized an impactful awareness session focused on child mental health and emotional well-being. The session aimed to nurture resilience and equip young girls with practical tools to manage stress, anxiety, and emotional challenges effectively. Led by Ms. Udangshri Basumatary, Clinical Psychologist from KMCH Kokrajhar, the event was conducted in collaboration with Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club and the Medical Cell of the power station.
The interactive session covered essential aspects such as emotional intelligence, Coping Mechanisms, Positive Self-Talk, and the importance of Support Systems. Students were taught to recognize and manage their emotions, develop self-esteem through affirmations, and lean on family, peers, and educators as vital sources of support. Engaging team activities helped reinforce these lessons and boosted confidence among the participants.
Smt. Kasturi Maitra, President of the Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club, along with club members, graced the occasion to motivate and bless the children. Through such meaningful initiatives, NTPC Bongaigaon reaffirms its commitment to the holistic development of GEM students — empowering them to grow with strength, self-belief, and optimism for the future.
